We stopped here on the way home from the New Orleans meet in February. We caught the sunrise and it was the first time I had seen the Gulf of Mexico. The only thing is that it was freezing cold. It was just above freezing and the wind was howling.

@@3cs704 the coast is pretty unpleasant when it’s that cold. Fortunately it doesn’t happen very often.

@@user-cu7qz6fy7z I relocated in 2003 from NJ. Nice people but a lot of transplants. The whole area is nice. Some bad spots of course. One thing to be aware of is that Jackson county's property taxes and car tags are higher than Harrison county.
