Club América is the most expensive team in the continent, its players are national team players from Chile, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay and Mexico. Its coach was Libertadores champion with Palmeiras in Brazil, Olympic gold with Brazil. It is the biggest winner in Concacaf with 7 titles, it is the Real Madrid of North America. Hey guys... A club América fan here... Guys with all respects... That yellow shirt has a fan base that you wouldn't believe. It's the most successful team in México. It has won multiple times at the Concacaf tournament for the wold club championship. It was a miracle this wasn't a wider difference on the scoreboards. But, you said it, 100+ years to seven months I a pretty long time, experience and presence. Keep it up guy I enjoyed you podcast

I'm glad STL stuck with SC instead with the FC, the word soccer is synonymous with the US why try to use football when no one the US uses besides eurocentric people. Props for STL

It was really bad, humiliating, yet could have been worse had they had their finishing shoes on. 5-0 and 6-0 were there for them. One thing you didn't mention: Blom missing was a big deal. Not sure it makes a difference in the result, but would have been less embarrassing and the scoreline might have been closer. Lowen and Indy played decently. Stroud, Niko, Aziel, Alm were all poor, poor, poor. Created absolutely nothing against their defense.

No harm in rooting for a team that you know is no good. City just does NOT have the players. Loven, Burki (and Klaus eventually) are really the only ones worth a damn. Az good enough too. The word(s) I'll use is bitch slapped repeatedly. Maybe in a year or so after some trades they'll have the players.

Just a bad bad take here if I'm being honest and even as objective as I can be. Do we need more depth and quality? Sure, every team does. Will we improve the roster over time? Yes, we need to. Are we over-performing a bit this season? Yes, I think so. Does all of this mean that we are a "no good" team? Not a chance in the world. You do not get this far in the season and in this position in the table without quality and execution from the roster we have available to us.

Honestly, at this point, I think Club America IS the best in North and South America, even ahead of the Brazilian and Argentine best soccer teams. I hope that America, Monterrey, Leon, and Tigres get to play in Libertadores very soon.
