Danny Aiello’s role was particularly poignant. He played with the Cosa Nostra in NYC, being a bon vivant and lover of Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals, but when things got hot the big guy had to be protected and Danny’s character was the voluntary fall guy. Sad.
