😥I'm so sorry to have read that and can't imagine how you found the strength to take all that pain. How are you now? It's not exactly something you can recover from really, as it'd always be with you. I too lost my Dad to suicide when I was 27 and it still hurts as he was my best friend, but one thing I can see, the pain fades that's about it, but it still hurts a lot. Have the Lord with me I can definitely say I do feel better, but Dad was an atheist, so......that's pretty awful. I miss him terribly and I can only imagine so many hurts on many fronts for you. Yes, I as well as many agree that this is a very well made movie. Regarding other Faith Based movies that do not have the $ to hire experienced actors, well, taking a chance on the one's that will star in a low budget movie with a decent script is a step in the right direction. What matters is the message & the rest shall fall in place, giving those perhaps not so yet seasoned Christian Actors added experience & opportunity to improve & grow. Good movie. Touched on a lot of important thoughts without shallow moralism, juxtaposed with the ploy of discrediting people and shame. Decent mystery story as well. (avoiding a spoiler) The point about what was interrupted was handled so gently, yet with adequate meaning. Does the prosecutor have more control over a jurist's vote than the jurist himself? Each jurist is accountable for his vote. If he releases a malefactor he'll have to face that accusation on his day of judgement. Likewise if he convicts someone who ought to have been forgiven. Always get in the habit of receiving instructions from The Heavenly Father, and not relying on your own understanding. That is one of the commandments of The Heavenly Father through his servant King Solomon.

What a redeeming movie! A multi-layered, complex psychological movie involving the heart-wrenching, tangible pain of one man, Mac McClaine (played by Matthew Modine) after losing his family in an auto accident of some kind, and on the same page, that man coming to terms with his loss through his professional involvement as a criminal defence attorney, in a difficult case requiring the commitment to the process of law - replete with painstaking investigation - addressing his client's future, as well as his own through the legal experience, a case assigned to him by Judge Danielson (played by Rance Howard). The whole movie shows the observer how one man learns to heal, and yet, during that healing process, tries saving the life of another man conveniently used as a scapegoat in a murder plot involving embezzlement by some very professional men, who would never be suspected of such activities. A most engaging and thrilling movie highlighting some very reliable & tested Christian values. This one's "for the books" and for all the good reasons.

This movie is at the quality level of a made-for-TV movie back when networks put a lot into them and made them the movie of the week. MUCH better than so many made-for-TV movies since that time (think Lifetime movies, etc). I agree the Christianity was there, but it wasn't the main point of the move. This was a good courtroom drama. Very good acting, filming, and so key ... good editing.

A powerful story because we know this boy is innocent but we cannot prove yet. We also know somebody else is guilty from her family. At moments believed it is her father but is not easy to find the guilty. I enjoyed this case a lot.
