FWACC has an important update to share with our community.
To better communicate our needs, we're renaming our "Code Red" list to "Urgent Placement Pets."
This list includes pets that are at risk for euthanasia and in urgent need for placement through adopters, qualified fosters, or rescues. The pets on this list pose safety or health risks to themselves or others. Including documented behavior concerns such as aggression, reactivity, kennel stress, or severe medical concerns.
The term "Code Red" might accurately portray urgency, but it doesn't fully explain why these pets need help, or how to help them. By renaming this list to "Urgent Placement Pets," we aim to effectively communicate the specific needs of these animals. With clear and compassionate communication, we can find much-needed support for each of these pets and tackle the ongoing overpopulation crisis in our community.
Our community has always been supportive, and we hope this change will inspire even more people to step up and help. Thank you for your continued support in giving these pets a second chance. Together, we can make a difference.
