Traveling through the narrow alleys at the bottom of the Belmont Shore area in Long Beach, is one of their older (at the time) rear loaders in the fleet. I'm not sure if this truck ran regularly back then, or was only a spare. A similar, but slightly smaller truck would do the Naples area, also serviced on Tuesday. Over the last few years, the city has begun to replace their refuse fleet with New Way equipment, rather than McNeilus. The rear loader fleet is being gradually transitioned to the New Way Viper, mounted on both Autocar ACX and CCC LET2 chassis. Seen in other KZbinrs' videos, I'll say that it's nice to see the CCC chassis make some sort of a comeback to Long Beach, after a long run of strictly Autocar. Hopefully you guys enjoy the video. It was originally filmed in one long, uncut clip; minus the dumpsters. But upon review, it didn't turn out good. So I decided to edit it for a better product. Thanks to the drivers for allowing me to get a video of their truck in action. Fun fact: All these years later, I looked at an old picture I took of this truck and realized that they wedged a wine bottle cork in the exterior throttle switch; To keep them from having to hold the switch manually.
