Overview:
Newisle is a modern Minecraft city map that started with one goal: make a detailed and eye catching city skyline. And it became much, much more than that. The project began all the way back in August of 2010 during the early alpha days and has been kept alive ever since. It's been done entirely solo and is my one and only world save to date.
Newisle is not a 1:1 scale city with a bunch of beautifully designed but empty buildings. It's a functioning place meant to be played like a Minecraft world. You'll find stocked shops, apartment buildings and homes, office towers, minecart-powered transit lines and a variety of places meant to make it feel like a real, livable place within Minecraft. It can be used for survival scenarios, custom servers, roleplay and everything in between.

@@zoeharris1649 I'm glad you like it so much! And yea, I've done quite a bit of terraforming to the landscape over the years. The world started as a series of islands in the alpha days that I gradually linked together into a new, large island that could support a town. Hence the name Newisle - like "New Island." The mountains were something I added with the help of Worldpainter.

That's Newisle State Prison. It's only accessible by boat as of right now but you can find it a little west of the Tumbleweed regional express rail bridge.

In your game settings you'll need to check if you've got your storage settings set to 'internal' or 'external' and then move the .mcworld download to where you have your other game saves. Otherwise I recommend trying the Addons app by Kayen Works on the Play Store.

@@BlipNoir when i extract, the world file did not exist but db and data yes. So i created a world with the same seed and replaced all db and data with newisle db and data and it worked! Thanks for this amazing map🥰🥰🥰🥰 I appreciate your time and effort into making this!!

Yes, it's compatible with Minecraft 1.12 and higher.
