@@AngelGarcia64. well, I think there's no clear reason on why a lot of these were never being release. but in my own opinion, I think it's because the studio and the audience at that time didn't really care about it. I think that thier priority is releasing the movie and that's it. there are also some movie that use music from other movies too, like in The Killer (1989) there's a lot of time you can hear the music from Red Heat (1988) and the sad thing is, even if there's a lot more people that appreciate these music (like this channel) I don't think there's gonna be some form of original copy of these music still around anymore (if we can find it at all) mainly because I think that they wouldn't really care about keeping it well in the first place, making it lost to time as we all known. that's just my own opinion tho, maybe I could be wrong about these music being lost (I hope), also sorry for the wall of text lol.

[ INFORMATION ABOUT THE FILM SOUNDTRACK ] The City on Fire soundtrack composed by Teddy Robin Kwan is a thrilling combination of action-packed themes which we are finally glad to present in its definitive and best possible condition with our new re-release. Fortunately, the City on Fire music score had very few slight changes between the original Cantonese audio mix and the subsequent audio changes which we were able to recover and include in this album. These slight changes of the film's music present in the newer audio mixes consist in: - The removal of 3 short tracks (marked by '' * '' in the tracklist) - The reduced length of the '' New Year Pursuit '' track. Another interesting fact about the City on Fire soundtrack is that it was also featured in the A Better Tomorrow II / 英雄本色II (1987) international trailer. [ INFORMATION ABOUT THIS RELEASE ] Aside from the noticeable sound quality improvement, the main difference between this new release and the 2018 soundtrack edition is the addition of the '' cut tracks '' and a slight structural change of the album where some of the most repeating themes during the film were merged into one single expanded track (such as tracks Nº 1 and 4). It's so difficult to find these soundtracks, thank you for the work you do man, it's too bad the only way to get them is when isolating them from the film itself...I wonder why Hong Kong producers never released soundtracks for their films....by the way I'm looking for a clean version of the Tiger Cage OST but specifically from the scene where Donnie Yen fights Michael Woods...all the other versions on KZbin are terrible.

As for the track you pointed out, unfortunately the only known place where you can find it is here, this theme sounds like if it was composed by Teddy Robin Kwan (the composer of this film's soundtrack) and is used as ambience music. Besides that I worked on 3 different DVDs from this film and this is the best sound I could extract from all editions I have.

Thank you for the kind words) I found most of the behind the scenes pictures by googling the film's Chinese title both in its original and Simplified versions, you can't imagine how much interesting stuff you can find in Chinese websites such as these unique behind the scenes pictures, additional footage, lobby cards, etc... and I'm sure that the pics that I've found while researching more content to bring along with this soundtrack is not all, there must be much more than that! There's one pic from Tiger on the Beat (1988) where all the 3 main characters (Chow, Ti Lung and Conan) are standing together and smiling at the camera during that pub scene which unfortunately I couldn't save, then there are 2 behind the scenes videos from Bullet in the Head (albeit one of them is dubbed in Mandarin for some TV program I guess) and a lot of stuff more...

What you said about bullet in the head gives me a lot of hope for more of it one-day being uncovered. I wonder why John Woo doesn't commonly release the festival cut if he has a print of it. There are multiple different rumors I have heard about what happened to the full film from getting thrown away, rotting over time, or being burned in a factory fire. I believe John Woo still has access to a film print longer than anyone has seen but is just keeping it to himself. Either that or it's missing scenes so he does not want to release it. Such an under appreciated john woo movie.

​@@sonarbu4805 Thank you for your support and interest. It's true that few people or channels offered what I try to bring to people like you. It's hard to think about how much time I spent searching for all these soundtracks we can get so easily now. It was that way until I got tired and decided to do it myself. All this quality and details about film soundtracks are possible to get because I usually own different DVD editions of the same films, I might have like 3 - 4 different editions for City on Fire, for example, and that's how I compare each one of them and try to squeeze all the ''fruits'' to make a ''juice''. And then I just make a selection of what sounds best and extract it all. As for the Bullet in the Head film, it's a very complicated case, to be honest I doubt we will ever see something longer than what the Joy Sales DVD has to offer, it's the same situation as with A Better Tomorrow II and Eastern Condors but at least I'm grateful that I could find those ultra mega rare unique stills from the scenes which were cut and also those behind the scenes videos that you can find in the Bullet in the Head soundtrack video. It's sad to hear because BITH is perhaps my favourite Hong Kong film and soundtrack of all time but that's the case we've got. Anyway, we should stay tuned with a potential Hong Kong Rescue release of that movie, if that ever happens that will be a BOMB!
