Live in the Keeaumoku-Ala Moana-Sheridan area that has Sam's Club, Ala Moana Shopping Center, numerous restaurants, condos, schools and businesses that desperately need help, but largely ignored. A reminder that tourists actually do travel around the perimeter of Ala Moana Shopping Center and there are condos sprouting like weeds in the area...stabbings, acid attacks, chronic vandalism, muggings, and theft makes the most heavily trafficked and populated area by LOCALS extremely dangerous. No help in sight.

$250,000 for Waikiki??!! How about some funding for cleaning up and placing the homeless on Waimanalo beach? They’ve taken over the park and bathrooms into their own little city. Free beachfront camping is not what my tax money is for!!!! There’s so many other places too but come on we’re not talking about couple weeks we’re talking years they’ve been there. Not ok

Empower, support, educate, and protect our Crime Reduction Units and communities. How do we add value to their self less service for love of community, place, and people? How do we market and foster community pride on par with the economic value of Waikiki to embolden self efficacy and sustainability with cooperation with government?

It's sickening that locals actually need more security from criminal behavior committed by locals . Very disappointing . City recognizes the need for tax revenue, and of course, the tourist industry will have priority ..

Monetary return on investment is a very obvious reason for investing in Waikiki--reputation wise, it is smart risk management--fair, economic health is worth investing in holistically. In our other communities, return on impact is dependent on the social contract that seems less monetary on return. Where is the leverage to be made in our communities known blatantly for a lower socio-economic challenges? How does value translate in these communities unlike aggregate higher income areas?
