I love, love how you made this video. You didn’t talk much. You just allowed us to take the beautiful view in and let our minds escape where we wanted. Beautifully done. Thank you!

Glad you enjoyed it. I, of course, like watching yours as well. Living at the beach would be great. We live in Montana and it's amazing but this time of year it gets a bit chilly. :-) -Henry

My dad lives in Ventura and I just got back from visiting my mom in Livingston Montana a few days ago. Actually drove to Livingston FROM Ventura! About 1200 miles. That was a very familiar walk in Ventura. I've walked all those same places going back to when I was a little kid. Great memories.
@CityWalks5 жыл бұрын
Hah, small world. Yeah, that's a LONG drive. We have kids so we usually stop in S. Utah or Vegas. We're gone for the summer but if you make it through Livingston again, give us a shout. -H

I love this town but haven't been able to be there in over a year. Trying to get back to the place that has felt most like home in my life, Ventura. Thanks for this, it was the next best thing to walking those streets myself.

Thanks for the video, my wife and I are moving to Ridgecrest in a couple of days but would like to go to the beach on weekends sometimes, and I thought Ventura looked nice. I don't really want to go to Huntington beach because I assume it's going to be a lot more crowded than the beaches in Ventura. Could you tell me what the differences are?
@CityWalks5 жыл бұрын
I would love to but I'm not from there so I don't really know. I'd say try both. Maybe you'll find a surprise. Have a great and easy move. And thanks for watching. -Henry

Dude, the next time you film walking down a sidewalk, remember to pan your camera to the left and to the right so your viewers can see what you are seeing. Once we have seen the side walk we don't need to keep seeing the same thing while to each side the scenery keeps changing. You walked passed the mission without filming it and never showed us the green lawn across the street from the mission. Nice sidewalks.

Hmmm. Well, I actually pay money to travel and make these but you can watch for free. Your tone is coming across as a little entitled and snotty. Maybe frame it as constructive criticism next time instead of like you deserve to be served and catered to because you are somehow special. While I welcome corrections and suggestions here, I get a little annoyed by people who seem to think they have the right to be snotty just because they can type and have an opinion. Please remember kindness and decency still matter. Merry Christmas and I hope your 2021 is wonderful..
@kirstenvogel96203 жыл бұрын
@@CityWalks It wasn't really a snotty or self-entitled remark. Try to listen to the message instead of criticizing the messenger who can help you improve your video. Also, it's likely because he/she was expecting more scenery of the beautiful Ventura as I was. I was just about to write something similar, please, I do not need to see sidewalk sidewalk as if I'm a small dog, it's annoying to use your word.
@CityWalks3 жыл бұрын
@@kirstenvogel9620 Hi Kirsten. I respectfully disagree. While I welcome constructive criticism, and have in fact incorporated these very suggestions into my newer walks (this one's a couple years old and at the time I'd had several requests to keep the view straight on at the time), the tone of herminventura wasn't polite, constructive, or even well intentioned as yours is. I found it rude and sarcastic and reeking of entitlement. "Nice sidewalks" isn't constructive. I'd encourage you to reread the comment from the eyes of a creator. If someone spoke to you like that in person, would it be acceptable? I found it sarcastic and rude. I thank you for feedback and helpful tone. And, I will admit, my response was not as positive as it should have been but I feel like if we don't speak up about what I see as bad behavior online, if there are no consequences, then the bad behavior will continue and perhaps next time the rudeness will be directed at another viewer. I'd like to keep this channel a positive, helpful place, and admit my response could have been a little less defensive. I hope you will view a few other videos to see how positive I try to be (and how I now try to include more details). Thanks for your feedback, -Henry
