My son brought a lead testing kit from Raleigh. No lead and lowest on everything else tested. We are on Woodfin water.

I called the water dept. yesterday to ask a technical question about micron size and a whole house filter. The person answering the call said nobody could answer that, it was too technical. So who should I ask? My city water is still pale yellow. I have purged the line as best as I can and installed a 5 micron filter where the water line enters my basement, but I would still like to see the city opening hydrants in my area to flush the system correctly.

And there's all this groupthink that somehow Asheville is going to be come the "old" Asheville from 10 years ago, but it's the new Trasheville with all the trans and extreme left ideologies

The North Fork Reservoir’s design is flawed, outdated and unsustainable and needs a complete overhaul and so does it's management. The release of such massive amounts of water during heavy rain DIRECTLY contributed to the Swannanoa catastrophe not just Helene and the rain leading up to it. This MUST be investigated and must never happen again, even during a heavy rainfall.
