What a nice video of my hometown! I walked those streets for years. Now living abroad so this was pretty sentimental and nostalgic for me. Also, now I have something to show all of my foreign friends when they ask about my hometown. Thanks for the nice comments about my city :)

Some of that looked familiar as if I had walked it before. I need to make a list. It is still nice to walk around and look at. I am glad that I can look at people's faces and look in store windows more than you can perhaps. I saw a smaller stone fortress but I don't know whose it was. Lots of gun windows or whatever they are called. I wish the graphitiers appreciated the history of those buildings they are zapping.

Great walk Henry, I'm impressed by your appetite for these off-the-beaten-track destinations! Although the Tesco Express at the end wasn't too exotic (speaking as a Brit)!

That towers where you were at the start, was the city castle (they teared down the walls when they weren't needed, You pronouce it as Banskaa Bystrica (you pronouce c as c in cemetery (not as k) Also Banská Bystrica is not anywhere near Low Tatras, its just bellow Small Fatra

Jakob Fugger was German merchant and copper mining tycoon of medieval Europe. Basically he is controlled copper mining and trade with copper across all Central Europe including Carpathian mountains. Medieval Central Slovakia is rich on copper and silver ore and Hungarian kings inviting German miners because they are best in mining know-how in that time.
