Hello Henry, again i am just watching some catch up videos. I have never been to France just seen live streams and vlogs, i thought Paris was beautiful but wow Marseille is very pretty. I always enjoy your walks and in my opinion some of the best scenic views. Question did you think of live streaming at some point or watch your own videos with an audience live from base, it is what some live streamers do and can prove quite popular and may help boost your audience they get to chat with an audience live and it can make the experience more personal. anyway i am going to enjoy the rest of your France videos so by for now.

Hi Brett, I was also really impressed with Marseille. It has a reputation for crime and being dirty. I'm sure there's some truth to that as with any big city, but I really enjoyed exploring it and would love to go back and spend some more time there. I've done a few live streams and "premieres" where I chat with people. I'd hoped to do some in Italy but I never quite got it lined up with our travel schedule. I'll have to make more of an effort to do more. Thanks for the reminder and encouragement. -He

Oh man, I love the opening scene of the video. How did you enjoy Marseille? Did you go to Monaco?
@CityWalks6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much. No on Monaco. We were staying in Hyere to see friends @WorldTowning and just did a day trip over to Marseille. I was expecting a crime ridden dirty city but it was so pleasant and clean and full of art and history. Thanks for watching and the comment. -Henry

Thanks for your comment Henry .. I born in Marseille but I don't lived anymore in that City for 30 years ago .. I don't know why ( I think just for the journalists business) Marseille still to have a crime reputation ! That you see us it's only a part of Marseille but it's not the best of this city .. because if you walk along the sea there are miles beautiful places for arrive at CALANQUES over there you can see amazing and incredible places on the beach !! Thank you so much for say that Marseilles is a clean city with a lot history !!!

Lola Sweety-Sarkozi thanks so Museum for watching and for the feedback. I personally like getting out as people are getting their day started but agree that as a viewer, it might be more interesting to have more people out and about. Happy walking!

I enjoyed this walk, thank you . Is it 6AM on a sunday morning? There is usually more people and traffic. I was wondering why you did not take La Canebiere ... but then I remembered the graffs art and Major reveal and that's cool too.
@CityWalks5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I like to walk early especially when it may get hot. I like to see the city wake up. As for La Canebier, I honestly barely knew where I was going and pretty much just wandering around. I'd love to get back and see more of the city. Thanks for the suggestion. -Henry

This one went a little fast for me and I could not make out details with the bright sunny parts. The other walks have been more leisurely, I started wondering if you were concerned about circumstances. So many beautiful walks in other countries, this one was not up to your high standards.
@CityWalks4 жыл бұрын
In places, I might have been a bit concerned. Mareseille has a reputation for crime. But I also sometimes get excited and revert to my quick walking pace. This was also one of my earlier walks and I was still figuring things out. Thanks for watching and commenting. -Henry
@victoriaholeman78464 жыл бұрын
@@CityWalks I have walked a lot of City Walks and I have never felt that you were 'excitedly quick walking". I think it was a hasty retreat from some awkward situations, which was smart. I need to go back and comment on all those walks I took that were great.

What happened ?
@toddboothbee13617 жыл бұрын
I googled for the date that Realita said this and found this on Reddit: "What has happened to Marseille? Now it's sitting in 14th place. Anyone willing to explain what has happened to a once champions league club." It slid in the football standings, I guess. The IS knife attack that killed two women took place took place late September, so there's a chance he might have been referencing this.

Why is there so much negative talk about Marseille, about how dirty, dangerous and worthless the city is? Are the city and its people really that horrible? Looks quite beautiful to me.
@CityWalks6 жыл бұрын
Metsada007 well said. I had the same expectation but was wonderfully surprised with how vibrant and artistic the city was. And for a city, I found it fairly clean and safe. Granted I wantonly there for two days but I would go back for sure.

I notice that you stay conveniently out of the northern part of the city. Hmmm... I wonder why? Could it be that it's one of the largest gangland areas in the world ? C'mon show us all of beautiful Marseilles.
@CityWalks5 жыл бұрын
Matthew Jackson Actually it’s because I only had time for one walk and I really didn’t know my way around the city. Though that said, I certainly wouldn’t go into any known crime ridden area. I really enjoyed my time in Marseilles, even if I didn’t see all of it. It is a beautiful and artistic and historic city. At least that was my perspective. Thanks for the comment. - Henry

@@CityWalks If you don't go into the crime zones then you're missing out. They are beautiful in their own special way. Just kidding, you can go into a ghetto but you can't safely traverse about in an established criminal gangland. Even the French cops won't enter these denizens unless they have to.
