wow, the pace of the game gets really quick on higher difficulties, I play on Emperor and by 1300 AD I only take out one AI with quirassiers (or something goes wrong and I give up)

Tech trade limit, taking too many cheap techs makes them fear you are too advanced

@@henrik9658 Cool thanks for letting me know. At 18:12 philosophy for machinery is that not a worthwhile trade? I always trade back for machinery when possible for windmills and you will need guilds soon. Why is that a bad trade considering you are close to nationalism anyway?

@@origisalah trading away philosophy early is very risky and encourages ai to go for liberalism, and you might lose first to lib. Especially on deity. Windmills are really whatever until replaceable parts, engineering is good but we can get it later no rush when going cuirassiers. Also those deals are just bad you are giving up a monopoly tech for something everyone already has, I wouldn't dare trade it until multiple people start getting philosophy.

Good afternoon, where can I find the Civ 4 update you are playing? My current Civ4 goes very slowly when I play very big maps with many characters. Do you think that with this version this problem will be solved?? I want to enjoy the Global Map of the world as if I were a child🥺

Most recent version of civ 4 beyond the sword. You can find it on steam. Please note I also use visual and UI improvement mods linked in description. Huge maps such as earth will always take forever which is why I play on standard size ones usually .
