Civ 5 AI Only Timelapse: Lost in the Ocean

Five groups of shipwrecked colonists found themselves in this strange place: five absolutely identical green islands in the deep ocean surrounded by impenetrable mountains... there were so many questions and so few answers. However, colonists quickly began to explore the land, build cities, establish trade and spread religion. All peacefully coexisted, but then they remembered the principles of humanity and what makes them humans, so they build the biggest fleets and armies to destroy each other for good, and only when all around descended into bloody madness full of fear and suffering, this place no longer seemed strange to them, finally, people were at home again.
I used Community Patch (global modification of AI and bug fix) forums.civfanatics.com/forums... for this battle.

Portugal: wasted so many chances and so much potential lol. Great economy, what do we use it for? 1) Retarded incompetence at capturing Seoul, which could provide crucial advantage 2) Being quite capable of taking Utrecht and honestly maybe even more... and retreating fleets 3) Having frigates when Byz was stuck on ancient ships... and even attacking them... and again retreating with such advantage... 4) Byzantium, the clear imminent hegemon, has its all armies in opposite part of the map, occupied with somebody else? Strategic crucial south island is ready to attack? Nah, let's lose all our manpower on Dutch and be left as the only remaining opponent of now like 2x stronger Byzantium! Not only they failed to do anything properly, maybe if not their attacks on Netherlands the Dutch would be capable of killing Byz. Netherlands: That killsteal of Spain straight from Byz hands was great move... But they were less focused than Byz and had bad luck with Portugal. Byzantium: Excellent performance the entire time, just proffesional competence. Korea: can anybody explain to me how the hell they could fuck up their basic pop growth so badly? Exact same starting conditions as Byz and by turn 100 Byz has 24 pop and Korea 4? Perfect set of uniques to win this map, and they couldn't even properly get out of an ancient age... on a map without barbarians or early invasions. Tl;dr Byzantium was a proffesional, Portugal was drunk, Netherlands were not good enough, Korea was mentally handicapped and Spain just didn't care.

Dromons protect Byz like Royal Navy protect the UK. I actually thought Byz was falling behind when they stopped with Varna and their tech isnt that far ahead either, but then global politics kick in.

+Rovsea Dromon. And yeah, Byzantium is perhaps the most dangerous opponent in the entire game if you've got a lot of coastal cities in the early game. It's an advantage that is quickly lost, but if you get to properly utilize it, it will probably win you the game. The good news against Byzantium is that the window of opportunity they have for using the ship is quite small. Also, to be fair, the AI is always retarded.
