What you say is about half true. He died of a disease contracted in France, he died relatively young. He wasn't overthrown over the issue of slavery but it was certainly a factor. Ya, it's really sad. He spent every ounce of strength on Brazil, mostly unwillingly and out of a deep sense of duty and yet still, with his dying breath his only wish is for God to fulfill what he could not when could've so easily cursed his life.

If you think about it Georgia being conquered ha resulted in good things. They have been conquered by almost every main old world empire and as a result have an amazing complex culture. They created Eastern Orthodoxy under Roman/Byzantine rule. What remains of Georgia from before they fell are the Khevsuretti and they didn’t make a huge influence on Georgia, and definitely couldn’t hold it.

I’m a Khmer people and the wrong translation from the game is wired because the word doesn’t go with the defenation he said. Because the emperor said we in Khmer yerng ( write in English without translation ) and the beginning start បុគ្គលមានចិត្ត សន្តោះគង់បារាជ័យ mean that’s people have feelings if he worry he will fail, that’s how he mean. I think it's a nice detail too. If I remember correctly 🤔 I think It's because Phoenicians are believed to have come from modern day Lebanon, and since it was in very close proximity to ancient cultures of what would now be modern day Israel it makes sense they would share some aspects of language

I learned about the Iram of the Pillars from this game and apparantly "İrem" (name given to girls in Turkish) comes from the name of this mythical city. Thank you civ for teaching me something new🤓
