Civ 6 | ALL 50 CIVS VS Court Of Love!!! #2 - (Deity TSL France Civilization 6)

In this game of Civ 6, we’ll be attempting to win on one of, if not the, hardest TSL starts of Civilization VI - it’s poor old France!
Starting in the middle of an overcrowded Europe, France has England, Netherlands and Spain all sending loyalty issues it’s way - as well as the worst bit of all, GAUL, who are just the absolute worst.
This is one of the hardest games I have ever attempted in Civ 6 - don’t be shy, come to discord and give it a try if you’re into pain!

An excerpt from the introduction of the textbook "Ancient Aquitnian French History". In the first ages of the Aquitane dynasty, the world was in chaos. While various peoples rapidly attempted to find their national identities, Ambroix the leader of the now extinct Gaul tribes, looked for a different route; conquest. Each member of the Gauls was a soldier, and from birth they were trained in the art of war. They were formidable foes, multiple historians have since claimed that the survival of the dynasty was shockingly thin, claiming various alternative scenarios, all equally likely to have happened. In response to these barbaric attacks, Queen Eleanor IV (known as Eleanor the Rich) used her cutting edge diplomatic skills to acquire the money necessary from all surrounding kingdoms (including the Gauls, as poor as they were in riches as in manner). This maneuver filled the treasury enough to recruit various groups of fighters to fend off the attack for good. This represented a greater pattern that would echo throughout our grand history: Aquitinian dynasty's reign was one constructed by love, not war."

I was gonna suggest that as well but it's 2 governor titles for what is essentially one work of writing. Considering there are no city states it might be best to save those titles until late game when you have titles to spare.

yeah - this is pretty much it - I talk about it later in the series but early game I had other plans for the governer titles - amani is a good edition but only 2 pressure doesn't make much difference and at 5 turns to settle she's not very movable - I get her later, but she's great to use in conjunction with artwork, rather than this early on (I find) - reyna was a good bet here because I was spamming theatre squares down

I wonder if agoge is better than the card for defensive buildings since the AI bases war declarations off of your military strength and doesn't consider walls. So if trying to prevent war, it's probably a better bet.

For a TSL map, I find the location of Paris located too far to the southwest; instead, Paris should be founded on the floodplain tile due east of the wine.

One Suggestion Ursa as Court of Love is one of my favorite playstyle due to pacifist domination, you should have your own religion, and take if possible feed the world, world church or tithe, with this religion other cities will flip easily...

That’s a good point I think it’s moved otherwise it would interfere with the Dutch , and the fact that Aquitaine seems further south, bordering Spain

Wait I thought citizens were the peeps in districts specialist slots. Does it just apply to the entire population of a city?

try that again sorry, not sure I understand? specialists are essentially tiles that can be worked inside districts. each takes one pop to work it, which tehn in tun reduces the number of farms, mines etc you work by one

Is it just me or are those 3 entertainmentconplexes just way overkill? Building the one below the two and above the lower theatrecomplex is a no-brainer. It covers all cities and increases yields but building 3 seems to much. Could have build the governmentplaca in the capital right where he put down the second entertainmentc. It would also increase adjacenty + would have supported 2 more districts next to the already huge complex. Maybe a commercialhub and an industrial zone would have rounded that area up perfectly

@@UrsaRyan I see. I guess it might not be the most polished way but the fasted way to victory with that civ. I have like 320hours in civ and just started winning diety like 80hours ago - I guess I am still focused to finishing around round 250 and above going with the longturn setup. Yours is clearly more efficient, gains cities considerably faster and snowballs heavier. Your videos are always entertaining and instructive thank you very much for your work and time 😇

What is going on with the capitals in the video? There are two different symbols for Paris and Bibrax, anyone know?

I lost my original capital so Bibrax is now my actual capital - paris is my "original capital" - you don't see it often unless you're in the habit of losing capitals like I am!
