Honestly, I play with all of them active all the time. Just turn off zombies and it's a lot of fun. Apocalypse can also be bad depending on your playstyle (I played with it on for a while before I ever made it to an apocalypse due to renewable energies and carbon recapture lol) Tech shuffle mode is an absolute must for me, that one alone makes it significantly more fun
