A couple things I wanna point out -commercial hubs/harbors are usually more relevant in a culture game than preserves. In a culture game tourism is your yield to victory and getting a 25% bonus to your empire wide tourism against another player for only one trade route with them is insane. -Also harbors should be in every city with coast next to the city center, as they are worth every bit of production you put into them and are versatile in every victory type (food, prod, gold, trade route slot, even a unique great person that can give you anywhere from one promotion to two free techs)
@MrCarumanduman2 жыл бұрын
Also, there are Great Merchants that provide additional tourism with every trade route you have to a different civ. So just sending out even just one trade route to each civ will give you so much tourism. The last game I played I had at least one trade route to the other 6 civs (Spain was too far away) which gave me +125% tourism each. I was already about to win when I made my one and only rock band.

Just put it in a city with the highest production. After that I usually retire all other traders to focus on that city production (usually with internal trade routes)
@akapoka87322 жыл бұрын
@@krisnadanuaji1444 How do you do that, with say 20 active trade routes, how do I re-allocate all of them, I’m only able to send them somewhere new once they complete their current route, which could take like 80 turns sometimes
@krisnadanuaji14442 жыл бұрын
@@akapoka8732 I usually reserve 4-5 trade routes for the sole reason of production. It's a long game, but big payoff. Kinda risky too, but if you have like 6-5 commercial hub, usually you already good financially (enough to cover your bases at least). Retiring in this sense is more like a route which usually produce 30+ gold I retire it once it is done. You can't manually cancel the order. Either you hope it gets plundered or go to war I guess. But the former is too random while the latter is too risky. Usually you trade with another rich Civ. So a retaliation will be devastating. But hey, you already on the last leg of research so might as well haha

Hey, discovered your channel a few weeks ago, great content, i enjoy your humor which is kind of unique in the CIV VI community. I start with this to make you understand i'm not hater or whatever, but i hope you can appreciate a honest feedback. First part of the video is good, nothing wrong here but past the seven minute i must say you reading the different bonus without any additional info/tricks isn't really worth saying, almost any people going to check a video on civ 6 about district read them already and know how this works, maybe adding some extra info like how many works of art a culture district can hold and how it works, explaining where the aqueduc can be placed (like not working if the river is between the aqueduc and the city) to get a good industrial zone for example might have been a better way to end your video. I do understand the point of this video was to be short and to the point, so explaining stuff like civ special bonus and such wasn't a part of it, but some extra general info would have been great, i watch most of your video and i often already know all the tips and trick you usually says, but i still dont mind sticking to the end, here i made an effort to stick to the end hoping some extra stuff would come and i was a bit disapointed. There, i hope you understand there is no ill intention behind this message, your channel is great and i hope you the best for the future, just thought this extra feedback might interest you (Sorry for broken english, not my native language)

Haveing an economy is so important too. It allows you to insta build stertain buildings and units, like settlers and builders. It also allows you to buy stuff from the AI, they love gold. I use to underplay gold but now after I get the first 2 core districts for my victory con I rush a commercial hub or harbor for costal. Off fresh water costal cities I would probably rush harbors for housing and growth first. Also I did not know that sertain districts give 1 appeal which can help you with preserves/national park placement. if you need appeal try to not build alot of mines cause they reduce it by 1. A lumbermil does not affect appeal and keeps the 1 the woods provide while givin production. As for rainforest there better for science and growth or if you play brazil.

Harbors are essential for coastal cities and encampments to provide housing (build them instead of neighborhoods cuz they can spawn atomic age barbarians). Encampments are a good last building if you want max population and production in your capital. There is a policy card that makes cities with both a spaceport and a seaport or a military academy have 15% increased production towards space race projects. If your going for a science victory PLAN your capital and the cities adjacent do your capital. Even tho the enemy civs had way more cities than me I was easily able to keep up with the ai and win a science victory because of strong cities. The only civ that can get away with not planning their cities properly and can still easily keep up with production is Russia and we all know how OP that civ is.
@TheCivLifeR2 жыл бұрын
that does give a lot of production, makes space parts ez especially with Germany
@NgarKua2 жыл бұрын
Russia doesn't need too much of a planning but it needs quick and precise planning to squeeze in as many city as possible in those tundra tiles. Yeah other than that, it's just preserve zone planning for non tundra cities. Btw, never heard of such policy card. Can't even find it in list of policies in wiki. Can you pls let me know the name of that card? The only policy card I always use regarding spaceport is Aerospace Contractors. It gives you insane amount of aluminum and can help power cities. It's a must have if I got Hercules. But it's valid to have encampments in every cities late game. Especially if you're gonna take Corporate Libertarianism. 20% production is really sweet to have. If you're going religious, you can faith buy 2 armies from any city. If you're going for culture or science, you cities will become a maze of death with all those encampments. I always love to build encampments and cities line up like a wall and tack the line like "The Great Wall", "Where You Die" or "You Shall Not Pass" for everyone to see.
@ethanwmonster90752 жыл бұрын
Yeah what i meant to say is that you don't need strong industrial zones as russia because work ethic + extra faith, production from tundra tiles means you always want to build high adjacency lavra first. There is a governor that lets you buy districts with faith so production is not as important if your playing Russia. Because you get so much of it for basically free. Also, the Integrated space cell policy card gives production for space projects if the city has either a military academy or a seaport 15% extra production combined with other policy cards your space race projects will be so fast the ai won't have time to react. Obviously the +3 power and aluminum are better though.
@NgarKua2 жыл бұрын
@@ethanwmonster9075 Actually Russia only does it faster in early game. Almost all civ can do that if they happen to be dropped by their maker on or near tundra tiles. I had very successful game with Khmer that way. I ended up having over 10K culture, 6K faith and 12K gold per turn. Of cause with some help from Urban Complexity mods. Ah yeah that card. Now I remember. It's military card, right? It doesn't need Spaceport to trigger but you need a spaceport anyway to build space projects. That with Hong Kong and Synthetic Technocracy will give you a crazy 65% bonus towards space race. Then have a mod that allow you to spend builder charge for 10% of the project, your friend would log out and come to your place to punch you in the face. Lol
@NgarKua2 жыл бұрын
@@ethanwmonster9075 Brazil can and in better way utilize same strategy as Russia in a different biome. But opposite to Russia, Brazil need even more planning than other civs to do so. one wrong calculation and you'll regret the rest of the game.

I usually build 1 campus asap and then the government so i can get to building towns that auto make a builder asap. having the combo of no population loss in the capital via Magnus and new towns having an auto builder is a must have. just add the builders get extra builds card and boom, your new towns are good to go. After this the capital will build a theatre and then a commercial hub or harbor As defensive units always travel with settlers, new towns start out with a defensive unit. A new town builds a monument and then a watermill and then a commercial hub or harbor. From there the order will vary but basically it is one of or both of campus and theatre. Noticing a theme here... my opinion on religion is basically ignore it. yes it's nice to have a pantheon and if you can get a religion fast enough then you can get some nice bonuses from it. IF you don't mind getting into the massive missionary wars trying to keep your faith intact. Just let your nearest neighbor convert you and presto you have an instant better relationship with them.
