So with my run of this, I used Got Lakes to get a very large amount of rivers. Had 8 food tiles and a 13 pop capital before the start of the medieval era. Went owls as well and raked in those suzerainties.

Civ Ex Egypt can become unstoppable if you have a lot of floodplains. They gain +1 food, production and gold on floodplains *every time* they flood, on top of any fertilization they'd get otherwise. And yes, the soothsayer from Apocalypse mode *does* trigger the ability.

I wish Egypt had the ability for builders to build a "pharaohs tomb" tile improvement in the ancient/classical era. The improvements are hidden until archeologists discover them in later eras, and builders can in the mean time build other improvements on those tiles. When discovered by an archeologist they could get crazy yields/tourism.

I only play with civ’s expanded because even though everyone is overpowered, the game speed feels natural for me on standard speed because everything is just a little faster but not as fast as a quick game. It also just balances all of the civs to be on par with each other. Also I just love yields and abusing mechanics to skyrocket them so it’s the perfect mod for me. Easily my favorite

Sets up the overpowered Monumentality rush even better than Russia (because you now have a second ancient era +4 and great barb-clearing powers), or you can just claim land violently instead. Alternatively, if confident enough in the early game without an early UU - Diggers. Pair with the Grand Master's Chapel and Lavra faith...

Ursa it’s a restart. Civ expanded Egypt you want floodplains more than resources tbh. The yields it gives from a single flood, is bonkers. Especially if it’s in the capital, and a lucky early flood = easy couple of wonders.

The A.I calculates how many turns its going to take for you and if theirs would be faster, it places it down. You need chops or great persons boosts to mess its calculations because the A.I only takes in account the city production per turn
