In this game of Civ 6, we’ll be playing as Genghis Khan’s Mongolia, and the objective today is to try and take on our favourite max difficulty settings of Civilization Six with a leader we all know and love! Genghis is all about conquest, horses, not wearing a sheep’s bladder on your head and calling it cavalry, and diplomatic viability exploiting, but will that be enough?? This time with a terrifically tough difficulty and Roman Holiday’s AI improving mod!
We know and love this combination that produces some of the hardest Civ 6 we’ve ever seen - will we be able to win this time??

Using Oil before learning about coal -- bee-lining is a fuzzy science algorithm -- could only make sense to the Mongolian Pillage Hoard 🤣🤣🤣

The point where in a normal game, victory is all but guaranteed, and yet with these mods and this map, it feels like the only victory possible may indeed be unifying China. Such a fun series, and you play it so above and beyond my level of being ab to do so, which just makes it all the much more enjoyable!

It's quite fun to see you play the same map again and again. You should do this more. On top of that, because the map is big enough, it doesn't even feel it's the same map as one time you play in the south with the sea, one time in the north with the desert, etc.

There's actually no need to explore, you can just wait for Korea to Launch Earth Satellite and you uncover the entire map if you've got a military alliance with them.

I absolutely love the Terra Mirabilis mod. The bonuses from the Natural Wonders can get quite powerful.

7:28 I wouldn't be surprised if your war with Kublai generated upwards of 30 War Weariness. You were peppering an absolute ton of stuff with Keshigs, and remember that War Weariness accumulates per combat. That includes ranged strikes on City Centers. EDIT: Also remember that when you knock an opponent out of the game, all accumulated War Weariness from that opponent instantly goes to zero. Another pointless edit: Keep this in mind if you ever give Vietnam or Inca another go with their unique units that can move after attacking and attack twice, respectively. Using these gimmicks to death-by-a-thousand-cuts a city will absolutely crush you with War Weariness. It's still pretty funny to do, though.

You are obligated to play this map as every civ now :D Khmer would be insane here since there are so many rivers and mountains/woods It completely nullifies the growth challenge since there are so many hills that you cant put farms on . A Russia national park only game without work ethic/dance of the aurora would also be interesting

In todays episode, a choice is made and a Spy arrives in Germany. Berlin falls to the might of the Mongol Horde, and while Aachen fell to Korea, shortly after another German city falls to the horde. Keshig's start getting upgraded to field cannons, and while they will be missed, it is the right thing to do for the shell-shocked horses. Kublai finally gets put to pasture, with Ludwig soon to follow. Cores get unlocked, and the great merging begins. The realization sets in that Korea is going to become a real problem as all their cities are powered and are building research labs. A lakebound frigate sinks as the attack on Yongle commences, and thanks to raiding multiple centers of education, the Mongols learn that the black sticky stuff can be used as fuel. A lot of oil deposits get improved, and then America introduces themselves (Uh-oh, we all know about Americans and oil). And the walls of Xiurong come tumbling, come tumbling, come tumbling, down, down, down. Peace with England is achieved, artillery gets unlocked, and many bombards get a well deserved upgrade into artillery. A clever reference to an old Queen song causes another city controlled by Yongle to fall to the Mongols. Napoleon gets recruited by the Mongols, granting their modern units an advantage. Mongolian diplomats get "The Line" from England, but they won't be thanking Genghis for long. Wu Zetian is the next to fall before the Mongols, and a new Natural Wonder is discovered, and just before the era rolls over, Yongle gets pushed out of mainland China, he is down, but not out yet. Where can his last holdout be? The world enters the industrial age, with the Mongols continuing to chain golden ages. And with that, the Horde builds its first boat, it's a pirate, followed shortly by Mongolia's first natural park. The military emergency against the Mongols finally fails, and with it, tanks are discovered. Unfortunately, the alliance with Korea reached level 2 before it expired, so an invasion of them will have to wait. A new alliance is formed with them instead, one of military might. A decision is made to industrialize Mongolia, to help catch up with the tech leaders. In a cruel twist of fate, Mongolia declares war on the US together and drags Korea with them against the Bull Moose. Then War is declared on Qin, with England and Korea joining in on the fun. Qin's cities barely tickles the Mongolian horde, and then a one tile tundra spawns a blizzard, just to make sure that Genghis remains humble. Mongolia starts to industrialize properly, and discoveres so much coal. Catherine De Medici introduces herself to the Mongols, as do João, and thus new trading partners are found. Will Yongle's last city be discovered before Mongolia builds sattelites? Will Qin bow before the Mongolian Horde? Will Korea be the first to reach Alpha Centauri? Turn in next episode, same Ursa time, same Ursa channel!

maybe you can consider some other difficulty modifiers like the one that slows down tech progression? would love to see how itchanges the gameplay when the overhauled AI can't runaway as bad with tech

When you made peace in England, I thought you'd buy a scout and check England's land for trade routes. Weird not doing so. Also, leaving Korea for last is gonna create problems.
