Even though it’s true Finisterre was considered to be the end of the known world at the time, the motto “non plus ultra” was actually inscribed in the pillars of hercules, one at each side of the Strait of Gibraltar. The Spanish carried out wholesale genocide wiping out whole tribes and enslaving the rest. Their rule was far worse than both the English and the French while the only country who even comes close to the Spanish was the Belgium colonialism in Africa.

I'm no musical expert but the instruments I am hearing in the early themes are Spanish flamenco guitar, cajòn, castanets and some type of a horn. The later era's transition into a full orchestra sound with violins, violas, cellos, bells and maybe a piano. The flamenco guitar and castanets are the instruments you hear the most from.

I think the ancient version uses a vihuela. The medieval one uses hurdy gurdy, spanish guitar and tambourine. The industrial replaces the hurdy gurdy for a clarion and orchestral arrangement for strings, and the atomic uses hybrid orchestral with synth strings and percussion.

Andalucian=/=AL-Andalus These songs weren't composed by the moorish kingdoms, they were composed by the christian kingdoms, to remember the reconquest of their rightful land. One of the most significant landmarks was, the conquest of Alhambra, one of the greatests buildings of Muslim culture, which was remade into somewhat a christian temple
