There are episodes I never want to end because you're on such a roll, and this was one. It's the same feeling I get when I tell myself "I'll just finish this era and go to bed" and next thing I know it's two hours later and I'm halfway through the next era because I kept finding things to do.

This really goes to show just how badly an early forever war can mess up your game. At the end of this video, on turn 135, we're at 246 science, 113 culture and 1281 military strength, compared to the original game's stats of 31 science, 8 culture and 113 military strength on the same turn number. The difference is staggering.

i have a strange idea for a civ 6 mod, thats basically backwards compatibility/ the ability to selectively set certain parts of the game to closer to the way they functioned in 5 or before. like the civ v city state quests where they are sometimes limited term contests, sometimes longterm quests, and sometimes things like favour per barb killed near them. which in civ 6 would probably need to be like .. part of an envoy. or civ v style wonders but with all the wonders in this game. which would probably be op, but thats ok, this doesnt need to be balanced. in case you couldnt tell i played a lot of V, but ive played III on occasion and it'd be cool to get some of those changes as well

Stupid idea came to me from Ursa's comment - but what if you can sacrifice an envoy to reset the era envoy quest of a city state and completing it gives 2 envoys. If its something hard or out of your way, you wasted an envoy otherwise doing the new quest gives the same net envoy balance of plus one. It could also be sacrifice an envoy point you already have with a particular city state to reset the mission.
