I love that you built Great Bath only to cover like 80% of your floodplain tiles with wonder and district pins.

Don't forget it's +3 housing and +1 amenity, that can make a real difference especially when you can lijia boom population early

Ikr. Irked me when he built the hanging gardens on flood plains too, when he couldve plopped it in the eastern part of his city
@richyrich6099 Жыл бұрын
@kriegsdorff I'm mainly poking fun at him doing that and not making a big deal of it but I really am not sure if the wonder is worth that single amenity and like two extra housing. Doesn't matter much to me but I'm not sure why Great Bath was rushed if he's just going to cover all its usable tiles anyway lol.
@UrsaRyan Жыл бұрын
Housing and amenity was more important, as was the faith that applied on the west of the empire. You can have two phases to an empire you know - early game bonuses then replaced with late game stuff as you go. Evolving terrain!

Thank you for trying out *CypRyan's Wide & Tall* mod! Hope you enjoyed! Any feedback and experience reports (like this video) really help to improve the mod. Seems like *Chode'Gath* drew your attention to this? If you allow, may I add a link to your video to the steam mod description page?

I find going for the religion that gives +4 faith per wonder is often very good in one city challenges! Also you could still go for oracle which pairs really nicely with Pingala grants. (I know you probably already filmed the next episode so my advice is not helpful).

Just a few turns in and that start location is looking better, but it's a perfect example of what most of my "legendary" starts are like. I wonder if there's going to be a lot of late game resources. Could be a lot of Nitre or Oil on those floodplains.

If you want 1 city challenge try the "Lets Play Tall" mod. The AI gets limited as well with the exception of their starting difficulty bonus. You can get over this by turning up the number of civs. It's a lot of fun and removes a lot of the tedious micromanagement. To make it even more fun couple it with the "Raze Capital" mod and Thanos the world. *Hint* Vampires only makes this even more fun.

I know Ursa has probably recorded this already but wouldn't it have given better yields if he put the Theater Square on the right of the Great Bath & Hanging Gardens and later added an Entertainment District next to it?

There is a mod called "one city mode" which eliminates settlers but it also applies to ai. So basically every civ has one city and ai usually does really bad on this mod

Okay, one thing that I honestly don't understand is why go for Great Bath and getting improvements on all those floodplains and even mentioning Feudalism Farm synergy, but then starting to replace all those tiles with wonders and districts a few turns later? What's the point of investing all that production and time into that wonder if it's not doing to be used? It wouldn't even give any Theater Square adjacency lie this. I know it was salvaged production, but still seems like a huge waste.
@UrsaRyan Жыл бұрын
The wonder itself gives housing and amenities. Later in the game it will give me science, faith and other resources from religion and tall extension buildings I use = )
