I love seeing my scout out on his otherworldly adventures. I can already imagine him writing his memoirs, and handing it down to his nephew along with a mysterious cursed item he found along the way.

Your idle Galleys would have counted for 'garrisoned military units' in a couple coastal cities, I would have used them when I slotted that card. edit- nm I didn't realize how soon you needed them to explore Bermuda, then I see you used them for it once they were done, well played! I have to admit, I took a certain perverse pleasure in your Holy Site map pins around the desert Wonder. I've been burned by Desert terrain as Vietnam before, it can really cramp your plans if you forget the district restrictions.
@gumballz.9259 Жыл бұрын
actually galley don't count for that card sadly. Have to be a land unit.

It's quite fortunate that the Barbarians don't seem to have that many boats. When I played this map and tried exploring / settling out, there were literal death lakes with a dozen barbarian caravels instantly swarming any unit that was unfortunate enough to end up there.
@UrsaRyan Жыл бұрын
Yeah not so much of that, strange! I must have got lucky with no barb spawns on the coast
@chrizzie1 Жыл бұрын
The Dutch being annoyed about you not trading with them despite the fact that it's currently possible to do so reminds me of the time the AI complained about a barbarian scout that somehow spawned on a tile which was wholly surrounded by mountains, saying "How can you let those barbarians run amok so close to your home?"

Regarding the "bermuda spots": Could it be that entry and exit points not always match? For example: You enter spot A and the destination is B, but if you enter B it will transport you to location C? In my current game it seems to work this way, but the "paths" can be reproduced so you can find out a way to a certain location.

I love watching you play; I think you are one of the best Civ players out there. I have to be critical of this series. I highly doubt that the AI will ever figure out the Bermuda Triangle aspect. Also, based on you sailing through, it seems that you have a few isolated places with no AI enemies to threaten you. It isn't even clear if you can get to them. In short, this is a lame map!
@UrsaRyan Жыл бұрын
So you might have spoken too soon here 1) Mayans are playing as well as any AI I've seen in some time 2) Mountian tunnels make this map a breeze Stick with it, I promise it comes together!
