I remember the bug where you could upgrade GDR into Corps/Armies because of the Zulu auto-upgrade on city capture. Also when barbarians could spawn GDRs. Fun times!

When i was playing civ6 i see that armies and corps are useless insted i make the same unit but alot

What I want to know is, aren't we reducing our overall strength by combining units? In your first example, wouldn't two musket men kill a line infantry quicker than a single Corp? Because base strength of 55 each is more than the 65 strength of the Corp. Is there some hidden mechanic that gives better results for corps fighting which is beyond the numbered modifiers?

Today I got 147 CS on Modern armor army. However one thing I wondered was: if i have a tank from a hippodrome (no resource maintenance cost) and I form a corps with a normally acquired tank, will the "baby" cost oil per turn? Also believe something similar can happen with Abe, free melee unit from IZ combined with regular Melee unit, do you keep the +5?

I believe you cant combine aircraft carriers either. But you can build fleets and armadas.
