Civic 04 fog light install

The positive wire that I have from my subharness thats running to my battery sends the signal to the car as to when you can turn the lights on. Wire the other positive toradio or other 12 volt

This was pretty helpful. Thx bruh. Ur video started to get confusing to me aft like the first 2-3 min. Mostly because camera was turing all over the place, but i had the basic idea of what u were doing. I just installed mines today and it worked after i bascially ghettorigged it. LOL

thank god i found this. i have an 04 civic and everything looks the same so i dont have to take guesses. the only thing is ill have to wire it to the circuit box under the hood cause all my circuits under the steering wheel are taken up by neon interior glow =P

dude that lil brown thing was the only thing I couldn't figure out, I cut mine off and wired it like you showed me and PRESTO!!! I need to work on the alignment but otherwise easy breezy, thanks man

motion911 i have the 04 lx sedan, you will have to remove bumper if you wish to do it properly, but its really not that hard to do the removal and replacement of the bumper

Very easy install I ran relay at right side and went left towards battery though. I know from wiring my amp power wire, that their is a grommet/firewall right by transmission dipstick. I find my way easier, just because I don't need to take off guard for wheel wells.

To maddog, again sorry for the late response, but I'm guessing you wired the positive to the your headlights, so you must have hooked them up to the wrong wire. Try the battery. And the switch fit in perfectly but I glued it with a glue gun so it doesn't fall over speed bumps and what not

I installed the switch itself on the left by the headlight switch. But if you have a sunroof and cruise control you might not have room so in that case you can out it in one of the open slots by the lighter. It'll just be more work since you have to get behind it to run the wires

Do what I did and brake that brown plastic cover. I had the same problem and like I showed in the video, I broke it. Just don't damage the connectors. After you took off the cover, it should click in perfectly

you can literally put it under any bolt, as long as it touches bare metal, i put mine on one of the brackets near the front of the engine

Yes it should work with any 01-05 model not so sure about 06 and up but should be fairly the same concept. The car was sitting on 15' Rota Slipstreams. It wasn't dropped at all just had a lip kit on it so it looked a little lower

i ran everything, all grounded and hooked up to power.. the switch will not light up, fuse is good, i think it may be the relay... i have the same brand fogs you do. have no idea what the problem is. kind of frustrating.

@mcclain38 it could be your relay, the button itself could be defective. like i said in the vid, the brown plastic part from the fog light harness wont click all the way so what i did was break it. make sure that the relay is completely in and not half ass.

my brown plastic switch wont stay in, lights only turn on when i physically push the brown switch in once i take some force off the lights turn off, any suggestions?

did you ever solve your problem of constant power? Mine is not ran directly to the battery, but through the wiring connectors, but the switch still has power and lights up while the car is off.

Is there a OEM part for a fog light switch for a 2003-2005 Civic EX with sunroof/cruise control? There's no room where the fog light switch usually goes (left of the steering wheel).. So it must go in the center infront of the cup holder? Thanks to anyone that responds!

this is good for 05 civic, almost the same feature in them...don't everything without breaking the brown thingy, work perfectly, but the only think the light stay on for the fog light clicker thingy migigy..so I decided to unplug the core where the wire connect to the clicker...I gonna do that a lot of time...any advice?

from where did u get the ground for the inside of the car? n did your switch fit perfectly or is it too loose

you shouldn't have to plug into the baterry... the brown plug tha goes into the fuse box (the one you bbroke) is your power source..

yo i got a question were does the ground wire go, there is two ground wires and i know one goes to the steering column but i don't know what to do with the second one which is next to the fog light.

I just installed mine but they won't turn on with my headlights, the work when my lights are off but as soon as I turn them on it kills my fogs. Any ideas?

You mush have ran it wrong in in the fuse box, or you ran the positive wire to the wore from the lights which turns the lights off. Not 100% sure sorry man
