Update on trying to find a solution to my problem..

Check for a short in injector harness, the short can cause your injector to be stuck on on one of the injectors

I’m literally having the same exact problems man, stock b20 turbo with 750cc. Replaced everything you named. Really leaning towards harness but I wouldn’t know why all of a sudden. Hope we can figure this out bud. Keep us updated please

Im having the same issue. Almost identical set up. Mine runs at @12.5 at idle to. I wired my wideband to the s300 and tried closed loop and it idled at stoich but didnt want to drive it like that. Im lost to. Keep us posted.

Man I feel your pain. Running two points richer no matter what. Did everything I could possibly think of and I’m in the hole. Same exact thing with me. Idk what else to do either

Damn man I’m going on two months, new o2 sensor, new plugs, new hpfp, new injectors. Gonna do a smoke test and boost test. IDK what to do lol

@@justbecause2010 I only have that problem at idle.. while driving my air fuels are normal.. so I stop looking into it.. car made great power after the tune.. I try so many things I fix that rich situation that I gave up on it..

I really think it’s the throttle position sensor or my dirty ass valves lol both are getting taken care of very soon if not I’m seriously throwing the car away lol

@@justbecause2010 on my case it was none of that.. I hope you get it fix.. your valves or tps can't cause that much of a rich situation.. has to be a wiring issue in the firewall..

Trying replacing ur sensor or possibly check a ground in ur engine bay or try replacing ur main relay hope u figure it out man and check ur fuel return and check ur fuel pressure regulator

boostingLS !! I will check the grounds again and see of that does anything.. main relay dosnt sound like its bad but i can try a different one and see what happens..

Do a resistance check on the ect rule.it out. Ect does effect fuel trims.

luck for me not the injector but mines is always iacv been thrown check engine light...using greddy 550cc injector...

I had the same problem with fic 1600cc injectors but found out that they were low impedance injectors so I had to put a resistor box in my EG Civic to fix the problem or you can buy new injectors but for high resistance because that's what the OBD1 harnessed is

I try different set of injectors even oem set with stock computer and same issue.. it something else.. my grams 1150cc injectors are high resistance..

Have u gapped the plugs closer an reset the ignition timing in the hondata settings? Disable sensors you won't be using an go from their.

Brett Padilla yes i reset timing and install new plugs and gaps them.. whatever it is has to be in the tune.. something with the coolant temperature correction or something like that.. car will drive but after a few minutes i will foul the plugs and car will hesitate and bog... Driving it stays in the low 12s air fuel.

Brett Padilla no, i try 2 previews tunes from where i got tune.. both tunes very similar to what the motor is now.. one at 408whp and the other at 445whp.. i did try the stock hondata map for a LS and did the samething.. goes rich

Yo bro I really hope you figured this out its nothing to do with any parts in the car just because your uploading a Hondata base map dont matter the car NEEDS TO BE TUNED that's the only problem the base maps are just that a base to start your tune they are far from perfect get the car tuned if you have Hondata go to the fuel Map and pull 20% at idle

I did all that and nothing solve the issue, even after tuning it would idle rich.. but once driving its fine.. been driving it like that no problems.. car made 602whp at 32psi.

S!lver Bu!!et I pulled 35% and it barely changed the AF. Not sure what it can be. I’ve replaced parts the tune is spot on. It ran perfect and then the next day it just started running rich and now I can’t fix it. Any idea?

SI RICKO i am open loop tune, is not using the 02 sensor at all.. the aem wideband cant be bad, car drives as if its burning this much fuel and the smoke.. is definitely not the wideband..

my boosted stock d16 is doing the same thing. Driving home one day and pegged rich, idle and part throttle 9-11afr, and boost would go lean. It's so bizarre. Changed injectors, calibrated and changed wideband, gapped plugs, new plugs, new dizzy, tested map/tps/iat, tested fuel pressure with external gauge. I wanna borrow another ECU and put my tune on to test. Did you fix it?

It was never fix.. mine was only rich at idle.. while driving the air fuel was fine so I left it alone.. I got tired if chasing that down and never finding the problem.

@@civicpride1986 Mine went completely fucking wacked in an instant lol so rich I could shift hella fast cuz clutch in rpm would drop like a light weight flywheel. I'll figure it out some day.

@dallasjackson3404 I got a new ecu, soldered it all myself then put my hondata in it and it worked fine. Still needed to be tuned a little but worked.

Did you figure it out? My gsr is doing the same. But as soon as I start the car it tries to idle in the 9 which is too rich. I’ve changed most of what you’ve changed and can’t seem to get it. I tried taking fuel out to lean it out and I have to take way to much fuel just to get it to idle where it needs to be.

Sadly no I was never able to get it right in the air fuel while at idle, I got the car tune and while driving is fine perfect air fuel, but at idle it would go rich, tuner said it was my injectors, but I told him no because I try different sets and they all do the same even a stock oem set on a stock map would do that..

That’s just a weird problem man! So far I’ve only seen a gsr do this. I’d say do a compression test but it’d be pointless if you made 600+ on 32 psi with no smoke or issues.

@@brandon2065 yea is not engine related, the only thing I never change was the dash harness that goes into the ECU and alll of the dash maybe there was a shortage somewhere causing that at idle.. but since driving the air fuel stay normal I stop looking into what could be the issue at idle..

After you it a retune did the car run smooth? Mine currently bogs out while driving, and get way to rich while at idle when I turn the car on. I’ve went and adjusted the timing and changed the fuel tables and nothing seems to work for me. I’ve tried multiple different basemaps, old tunes, and I still have the two slightest annoying problems. I think maybe it can be in my wiring harness but I’m not sure. I tried a new ecu and it isn’t working. I doubt it can be my s300 chip itself.

@@brandon2065 mine never did that, with the tune car drives like normal with normal air fuel showing on my wideband while driving... Get a tune sounds like yours might just need a tune also.

No i did everything i possibly could to fix that and nothing work.. i did got it tune as is and while driving air/fuel is spot on.. but idle air fuel was not perfect still on the rich side.. but under boost and while driving everything was good and made good power so i left it as is..

@@civicpride1986 that's so crazy bro, I've been to scared to drive mine as is but I'll take it for a spin and if the A/F ratio is good while cruising I'll just leave it like you did then. I watched your series on the car and was really hoping you got to the bottom of it but I'm glad to hear it's making good power and drives fine otherwise.

@@p.auto.t yea drive it and see my tuner thinks the injectors are to blame for that ricu idle situation, but i dont think so since even on stock injectors and ecu it did the same.. but while driving and under boost is fine so haven't had issues..

Yeah my low cam fuel tables was off a lot somehow. So it’s kinda fixed. I have a electrical issue that somehow changes the af. It’s weird but when I turn my headlights off my af is around 11.7 at idle and when I turn them on my af is in the 14’s for idle. It’s so weird!

Mine also did that when I turn my headlights at idle that would affect my ad readings.. reason why I upgraded my alternator to a higher output one and that did not fix the issue.. but at least I ended up with a new and nicer alternator.. after changing so much with my car I ended up just blaming it to a shortage somewhere in the dash harness, that's the only thing I did not change..

Does your headlights still change your readings? If not how did you fix it if you fixed it? I thought it was the alternator or battery. I'm also thinking maybe the wiring harness may have a short in one of the wires but I'm not sure. Its hard to tell when its electrical.

It's so weird how b series is only known for this lol... it's an issue you definitely have to deeply look into. Just sucks having to drive with my headlights on during your day because full throttle my gauge reads around 11.7 which is good. But its in the 14`s with half throttle.

@@brandon2065 well for sure is not your battery or alternator because both of those I replace and no change.. the only thing I did not change was the dash harness that goes to the ECU and cluster and all that.. maybe there was the shortage causing that.

I swap injectors and same thing.. oem ones.. this issue was never resolved.

civicpride1986 did the first engine have the same turbo that is in your video? And if so did your issue start right after installing the turbocharger? Could it be just to big of a turbo and it’s pulling the fuel out off the injectors at an uncontrollable rate?

@@carlgenis514 a factory ecu for that same engine and change the injectors to stock ones and stock fuel pressure regulator, basically like how a stock engine will idle fine and samething happen ran right only at idle not while driving..

@@momwhatisthat5113 I was the same way, I replace injectors, engine harness, to even upgrade my alternator and a few more things but nothing fix the problem.. I even try a complete stock ecu with injectors and same issue.. like I said I just gave up trying to fix that after all I did and spend trying to fix that.

@@momwhatisthat5113 mine doesn't do that, mine drives perfect, while driving air fuels are good.. maybe your car just needs a tune? Check your TPS a bad one can cause all kinds of issues, datalog in hondata and you might be able to see if a sensor is bad.

Lauro Paxcle jr yes using the aem wideband sensor is almost new is not the sensor since the car drives as if its running super rich and smokes because of the extra fuel is dumping.

Lauro Paxcle jr i try 3 different maps from previews tunes.. all of my tunes are open loop tunes with the o2 disable.. the only one i use that supposed to have the o2 still active is the stock p75 ecu and still ran rich..

Chalres Andrew 40psi.. i am 90% sure my issue is the alternator.. check out my newest video.. will be upgrading from the stock one to a high voltage one and we will see what happens.. stock one is the original from 1995 so is about time for it to go..

Just because you are uploading diff tunes doesnt mean its gonna fix the problem. Take it to a tuner. Until you take it to a professional to have it tuned you efforts are worthless. Let a professional tweak your fuel etc before you waste more money.

Azzazel i understand that, i am using previews tunes that i had done on this car similar set up, i dont think the issue is in the tune.. if i end up not figuring this out i will just have to take it as is to a tuner and see what happens..

@@twinscrew9.047 yes, i Try so much that i gave up on it.. i change also even the engine harness, different injectors, regulators, ecu and everything possible to fix the issue and nothing work.. the good thing is my issue was only at idle and not while driving.. even my tuner had no idea what could be.

@@humbleyouth8016 never got it fixed, I took it to the tuner like that, he was able to tune it and driving and while boosting air fuels are normal.. only at idle with no load it would go rich.. tuner said it could be my injectors, but that can't be it since I try even stock injectors and stock ecu and still did it..
