It's my favourite movie of the year. Probably the best audio experience I've ever had in a theatre.

This was by far my favorite reaction of this movie, you guys picked up on a lot of stuff, on the details and themes and mood, and I was really really impressed, especially by how you discussed things and broke them down both in the moment and after. I'm definitely going to check out your other reactions now!

Could cut the tension with a knife. The gun shots were insanely loud, like loudest I've ever heard in the theatre. Especially the "What kind of American are you" scene.

Another Civil War in the US is not likely. Still, it could get close enough considering the current state of affairs. We can view this film as a cautionary tale. An actual civil war here would be far more horrific than this movie.
@JohnDoe-gh8sk4 ай бұрын
I think it is very likely depending on the elections and if Trump goes to prison. It’ll anger a lot of people, but yeah another American Civil War would be very devastating if I were you I’d stack up on supplies just incase.

As a journalist, I'm not sure I understand and definitely don't agree with the idea that this is a critique of war journalists, or that war journalists are "disconnected from the war." There's a kind of separation that has to take place in the moment, for certain, and it's fueled by a combination of adrenaline, and an ironic deep empathy that's being witnessed, but it's not a disconnection at all. That aside, I enjoyed your reaction and hope you both keep it up, thanks!

This movie really gave me a very weird feeling in my stomach. I'm not even American, but to see this kind of scenario play out in this not-too-fictional US, where the rule of law has clearly collapsed and all sides are gleafully commiting war crimes was sickening. I hope this movie can be a reminder for those throwing around terms like "civil war" casually, what happens when societies collapse, what the horror of war really looks like. I think that's why it was clever to not go into the details of the situation unfolding in the movie, because it was never about that. It was hinted at that this fictional president had done some nasty things, but were those "liberators" any better? Executing unarmed staff, not giving the man, whatever he did, a trial. I think whoever won this war didn't matter, the country was already destroyed. And this kind of thing happens all over the world, it's just happening in societies that are not "western". Great reaction! 🙂

Just in case you didn’t know, every state has Air and Army National Guard who follow the state, they have their own arms, gear, vehicles. Not hard to believe that the Western Forces (19 states; including California, Texas, Florida, IE) would have the assets that they do. Not to mention the active duty components and local militias that would join the WF
@seff65333 ай бұрын
The western forces, republic of California, second republic of texas, and the Florida alliance aren't the same group. They're just fighting together to get rid of the government and then they'll most likely fight each other, like the movie says

There are some professions “protected” by international war laws like Journalists & Medics Neutrality. Thats why for some countries is sacred not to use them as spies or anything war related. ***important to highlight the fact that those war laws are not always followed. 11:40
