Theres plenty of missing material from this versio. Alot of backgrounds of the character if I remember right. Deleted scenes of the film Event Horizon were found in a Transylvania salt mine. However, they were in such poor condition, they were unusable.

I’m so glad you had a protective bird to hide behind during the scary/gory parts! 🦆🫂 I first saw this after it was out of theaters but it was just recently available for rent and had a teddy bear to seek out for post-Event Horizon comforting. 🐻🤗🐔

It was almost a brilliant movie but it is still a cult classic. The studio forced the director to butcher the cut, maybe for the better because that much gore might ruin the rule that less is more. Imagination is always better.

Back in high school in the 90s I thought this was a great movie to bring to Earth Science as a film about black holes. I was wrong and my teacher was NOT happy halfway through.

A very unsettling film! I felt like I needed to take a hot shower after watching it! I do not wish a repeat viewing! The Event Horizon was in the shape of a crucifix.

The guy who we saw approach the house early in the movie looking for Terry was Charlie -- it was the same actor who portrayed Manson in Mindhunter! Terry Melcher was a record producer (and son of actress Doris Day) who Manson believed had promised him a record deal -- He had lived in that house on Cielo Drive until early that year. Though Manson was aware that Melcher (and then girlfriend Candace Bergen) no longer lived there, he nonetheless intstructed his cronies to murder everyone at the address and to "...do it well, and leave something witchy." according to Randall "Tex" Watson, one of the participants.

Not like the old days, when the JSDF would deploy at the first Godzilla alarm. Per your comment on military force: I think every JSDF anti-Godzilla mission should be called 'OPERATION: PISS HIM OFF.' I love the POV from the camera in the car driving past him and looking waaay up. COVID was part of what derailed this film's sequel. In my opinion, they also kind of wrote themselves into a corner with this ending: Godzilla was just starting to evolve into the Godzilla Sapiens shown emerging from the end of his tail, at the end; so the next movie would have dealt with large numbers of evolved G Sapiens, not necessarily one enormous monster.

Howard Shore crafted the score to this. I love the music. I listen to the whole thing on its own. I also have the Lord of the Rings soundtracks too.

It is based on the story of Solomon Perel, a German Jew who escaped the Holocaust by hiding in the Hitler Youth. For what I consider the best film about the Shoah, check out "The Last Butterfly," about a French mime who is brought to Thereisenstadt to help put on a show for the Int'l Red Cross to hide the reality of the KZs.
