you are a life saver with the 3 yard patterns. I have started a prayer quilt ministry at church, and the patterns are so simple for beginners, and make my life so easy. THANK YOU!!!!!

Saw the book and quilt Jenny made on MSQC. There were three quilts made out of that book and I have a lot of yardage to start on those quilts. Thank you for sharing.

Just saw your patterns on MSQC and your book is on the way!. But I'm excited to have found that I can get kits from you since you take all the guesswork out of the fabric selection and they are beautiful.

I’m really enjoying your videos. I’ve just stumbled upon you and happy I clicked the thumbnail. I’m fairly new to quilting and the concept of the three yard quilt is less intimidating; the patterns look achievable, and it also seems ideal if one doesn’t have a lot if time, or even money, because you don’t gave to buy endless yards of fabric, or sew dozens and dozens of blocks together. It’s simply wonderful!!

Is there enough in the kit to BIND the quilt?
@fabriccafemama4 жыл бұрын
There is enough to make a single fold binding. If you prefer a double fold binding, you will need an additional 1/2 yard of fabric. Donna

@ dolly quiltsandknits - You can see how to do the single-fold binding for the 3-yard quilt patterns on the YT channel, SewVeryEasy. Laura does an excellent tutorial on how to make one of Donna's free patterns called, "Sew Fast" where she uses Donna's fabric "Family and Friends" (or is it called, Friends and Family?). That's where I first found out about Donna Robertson's patterns.

Thanks for watching! I have a blog post that steps out how to do the economy binding. go to fabriccafe.blogspot.com/2014/02/3-yard-quilt-binding-101-economy.html

@@newbeequilter , thanks for the info. I do single-fold bindings already, almost exclusively, doing the two sides, and then top and bottom usually. Good to know that the kit will have enough for that as well.

Trying to buy Adelade8020216 and nowhere on your website! Very frustrating! I realize this video is older but surely you dont run out of these kits that fast? Keep asking for the number on search and get nothing! You did not mention the fabric designer or manufacture!

Hi Donna, We did sell out of that kit quickly. Most quilts we show which has a matching fabric usually have a larger number of kits available. But if we only show the fabric, it usually has between 15 and 30 kits. and yes, we often sell out. We air live on Facebook at 4:00 on Tuesday and Thursday. We then upload to KZbin. This can take between two and four hours to accomplish. Those are the best windows of opportunity for getting the quilts shown. Donna
