Very nice finds this time my friend. Doesn’t seem possible that someone could come that close and not spot that point in the footprint. It happens though. I found a broken bird effigy stone pipe once, on the Santee River, 19:01 with footprints about a foot away. It was very recognizable as I approached it so I feel they couldn’t have been seriously looking for artifacts. Once again, Thanks !

Rodent bite marks on that Minnie ball... It's actually very common for squirrels and rats to bite them.
@Points365 Жыл бұрын
I hear ya on that.. and I do know it’s possible and probably common like you said. I’ve seen them boogers chew on the most random of things! I also know what their bite / chew marks look like. These just didn’t have that look to me though. It was solid indentions in the pattern of what looked like a molar mark to me. The base is crushed in on both sides where the marks are as well. That’s what led me to believe it was some guy chomping down on this thing! Could be coincidental though?! Anyways, i appreciate the feedback and you taking the time to check it out!

I have the 58 cal. Remington that fires those minie balls. Virtually the same Springfield musket used by the Union Army, but just a shorter carbine. Man is that thing deadly. You wouldn't want to get hit with one of those. They were known to rip arms and legs off. They outlawed them for use during war time by the Geneva convention, because they were deemed too inhumane for warfare. They're just too savage
@MOEMUGGY Жыл бұрын
@@katrinasinkins Opps, I meant, "Hague Convention" But the Minie' ball is indeed banned by the Geneva convention. the prohibition is worded as being against ammunition designed to cause additional pain or harm. the early versions of the Geneva convention were written during a time when a lot of places still used unjacketed ammo.
