The thing is, Why didn't lee just tackle her or push her to the side. Also she's wearing kevlar. Its unclear if its just kevlar, or also has a plate. But the secret service is shooting with a 9mm pistol, and a 9mm MP-9, neither of which can penetrate a kevlar vest. She shouldn't be dead, as it does not appear she is shot in the head or neck, just a few rounds to the back, which would not penetrate her armor. Frustrating part of the film.

This movie is designed to teach us a lesson and that is “nobody wins in war” in the end the president is assassinated the western forces have won the troops are seen in good spirits with happy music in the background they’ve taken over DC but did they really win? The war left the entirety of America torn in pieces, many are left without home struggling to survive. Alot of death is yet to come as Western forces tries to get the rest of America to surrender. The whole country is like a lawless wasteland with no regard for human life. In the end nobody wins all that’s left is a still divided country and a dead president. The lack of information also contributes to the lesson as it’s not mentioned by anybody why they’re fighting it must not be a good reason showing that the war is pointless and nobody wins.

The ending was forced. They could just have moved out of the fire. It was unnecessary and predictable. Every death was. I think most of the nation already didn't participate, not even whole D.C. was part of the fighting. If the Western Forces reinstate the original USA with a reformed constitution, that would make impeachment easier, the country could heal again. After that the hunt for war criminals begins. The universal pardon after the first civil war is one reason for the current division after all. And was probably the biggest mistake Lincolns. Even though it was an understandable one. But criminals on both sides could just move on and became influential spreaders of hatred and propaganda that poisoned the minds of future generations. I mean, I read history books of several different states. Every single one is political colored and none of them actually portrait real scientific conclusions. For example: there are school texts from the South that are scientifically wrong and ignore historical documents that falsify their claims and they still teach it. That's just morally wrong, no matter how you look at it. No matter what political opinion you have. Fact is the Founding Fathers intended the current system on the premises that future leaders are integer people, with a political well educated population. People like Nixon, Clinton, Bush or Trump (I don't try to be political here) who use every grey are they can find and the current division of the political parties, because of politically biased media (like FOX and CNN) and social media algorithms (pretty much all of them), were never part of that picture they have drawn for their nation. The current political structure is not able to handle that sort of pressure and societal change and needs to be modernised. English is not my native language, so please forgive spelling errors. I'm from Germany and we also have political problems, but our democracy is younger. We had time to learn from failures and created a political structure that is somewhat able to adept to current times. Yes, there is discussion and worse, but it seems to be goal oriented. Sadly, I don't see that in the US anymore. Only, ideological and profit driven infighting. No matter of Republican or Democrats.

Crazy to have a movie with war in the title, and not show much “war scenes”, explain how it started, who was in charge of the resistance, etc. This movie was trash as far as a war movie goes. It would be like going to watch the Titanic movie and all the whole movie is-is people getting on the boat.

@kylesmith99447 ай бұрын
Civil War was an ok movie, however, the script, specifically the backstory did not explain enough about how the conflict started. The story didn't address any political questions about why the Civil War occurred because the President's character, the main antagonist was not developed. If you have a great actor like Nic Offerman then use him. The Western Forces also needed a character to explain why Texas and California succeeded from the USA. The journalist's screen time should have been cut down drastically in the movie. Civil Movie had too many unanswered questions.

This movie does not explain the cause of the coming US Civil War, which should be the reason why Garland made this movie. One must know the conflicts and root causes that led up to the coming civil war. Without an explanation, the movie story flops. It is not realistic, and no one knows the cause of why they are fighting, who the enemy is, and why the US government became so authoritarian. No one knows how biased the US military is toward one side or the other. No one knows what triggered the civil war. California and Texas currently have extremely opposing political views and would never join forces against the US government if they continued to be political foes. No one knows how a new civil war will make the US vulnerable to foreign aggression if China takes over Taiwan or if Russia takes over the former Soviet-block countries while the US is in a civil war. No one knows realistically what states will secede from the union or how they will form a united army to defend themselves against the Federal government. The movie mentions nothing about the Constitution or what happened to the three branches of government. For a very probable and realistic cause of another US Civil War, read "The Coming Tyranny: How Socialism Will Lead to Civil War in the United States."
