This was one super awesome, most excellent adventure metal detecting for Civil War relics and treasure hunting on the river. I take my kayak up the creek and discover that many fun and fantastic finds await me in an area that I had searched in years past. Listen close and you may hear "The Sounds Of The Wild Aquachigger"!

One thing I've noticed about your videos over the years is that you still get just as excited when you make a find as when you started. I think this is one of the reasons that your subscriber numbers keep rising. It is a pleasure watching you hunt. It is educational on many different levels including detecting, history, how things were done back in the day and just about everything else concerning being outdoors in the woods. Keep up the good work, you are providing a service to your fellow fishermen. I guess you could say I dig it man, wow man. I'm a Chigger Digger. Stay cool mannnn...

What an awesome video and awesome dig. With the epaulets, button, locket, and ring all in the same general vicinity I can't help but imagine what the chances are that you stumbled upon a civil war era officer's final resting place. Your videos make me want to get a detector and take up the hobby myself. Thanks and keep digging.

The body decomposed in the river. On the body were the epaulettes and wedding ring. In his pocket was the lockett containing family pictures. In his body were the two bullets. His family forever wondering what happened to him and he lay rotting in the river. Horrible times.

I've only recently stumbled across your channel, but I'm honestly amazed at how much stuff you find... Bullets make sense to me -- so many were fired over the course of the civil war. But you find so many amazing things that just seems to be business as usual for you. That old lock you found was really neat find for me. I love old locks. I wish I lived somewhere nearby civil war sites. I'm out in San Diego on the west coast, when people think metal detectors they think combing beaches for watches and rings...

Hey beau, I totally agree with you on ALWAYS filling in your hole. Unfortunately, in Illinois, where I live, it is illegal to metal detect in forest preserves because somebody broke their ankle tripping on a hole that somebody didn't fill in. Not filling in the hole can be dangerous for others and can have consequences, like the law passed against detecting in forests in Illinois :(

What a roller coaster of emotions today with AquaChigger. We thought the mighty Beaver was your friend, only to trick you. We got excited over the civil war shoulder pad, then two, then it got dark with "The Ring". At one point the mighty pick was lost..."noooo!"...but relief, it never wandered too far away. I swooned over the lock becuase old locks look so beautiful and then we faced some sadness when the locket was found. The realities of war, truths we must learn and remember. A treasure for sure. Headless Popeye showed up and was pretty creepy, thanks headless Popeye. At some point we learn that you lost a friend. Accident? NO. Dumbasery. It's never fun to lose a good friend to his own dumbassery but I'd say good call. Beautiful shells, beautiful weather, I am happy you got your wife another beautiful Bell and how sweet it is that it made your whole day.

You detector would go crazy on our place on the river. All of the cans, beer cans, pull tabs bottle caps that have been deposited on the place by the river from the delta plus it was a ferry crossing for years and a school was on the property and the farm.. Yankees landed there in Dec. 1862 and got their butts kicked royally! That could be a lock for a limber chest or from a forage wagon.
