i think it all depends on direction of forces of the beam. If they are in two way then that will be two way otherwise one way slab. thanks

this vid isnt a matter of whats economical, both are required for constructing the sturdy slab. if on a economical aspect, you cant adjust on the type of slab use, but which materials to use or what brands of reinforced steel bars to use.
