From what I’ve been told, they can try to do it same day if you’re in a time crunch or have a significant drive to the recruiting office

I had gone through Calgary originally because I had more family support in Calgary and thought I may move back to Calgary from Edmonton

Don't be afraid to call about every 3 weeks on a Thursday around 13-400 if you don't hear back. Just ask for a quick update, thank them for their time and hang up. Thursday is best day because they will be in a good mood as its almost the weekend, but not right at the end of the week so if they have to call you back they can do it the next morning first thing instead of Monday.

how old are you while going into it ? I"m thinking of it but I'll need to get a bit in better shape to run that 5km... I'm also 40 but in decent shape and can keep up to younger guys at work etc. Just the running is gonna be my need to improve mostly .

I went to the recruiting centre on march 25 and I’m still waiting in queue for the medical exam. The recruiter said I was doing fast track buts it’s taking forever

It’s possible that your chosen trade could have something to do with it as well from my understanding, if there are a lot of applicants for your trade they have to go through everyone

thanks for this! So just a quick question. I have finished high school and I have finished by 2nd year of my 4 year degree at university. If you know of course, would I have to do the cfat?

It varies by trade, I still had to do it even though I’ve graduated from a 2 year college program. Regardless, from my understanding, everyone does it at some point whether it’s during the enlistment process or during BMQ

You can skip it depending on the trade

You would have to do the CFAT for all trades unless you have specific, relevant experience or knowledge in a trade. If you have a technical degree in HVAC for example, then you can skip the CFAT for HCAV tech but not if you want to be a med tech. That being said, the CFAT is not hard if you spend a few weeks brushing up on your long division.

Me too im looking to get back to school,finish at least my high school ,get back in shape and probably going to just sit where i can fit because im actually 5.2f male 122pounds and im not to messed with all my life ive been brought down by my own insecurity, bullied, manipulated and others sensible matters , that shaped my personnality, ive been 3 years in youth center and when i came out, i wasnt ready for liberty , not at all. Im now 26 yo , been 2 time in the streeth since covid but now im sober,training , clean food clean mind clean room, brighter future , but id like to dedicated my life not for Ze king or politics and stuff, i just want fight for the liberty of my grandkid im doing it for my ancestor,for the civilian for liberty for a brighter future, at least id try instead of complaining or criticizing your life. ❤ looking forward to see whatsup with you, future brother in arms 💯

Is the Cfat the same difficulty level as the practice Cfat on the Canadian forces website ?

@@kolbyjoudrey7145 by the CAF policy I cant share specifics of the test or my application will be closed, but my best advice is to brush up on advanced math

I can tell you that it is pretty similar. as long as you are comfortable with grade 10 mathematics without using calculator, mathematics part won't be a problem.

Oh and btw , civilians will not understand, some cannot understand some other dont want too but most of all dont forget that most of them are just ignorant what named the Call of duty feeling. Its not just the hype or ads and stuff , its a real and very deep feeling mixed with emotion and sensibility, some civilian dont understand the adversity of being also military wife and family. Yotube for me its like war 99% of comment are just hate 1% is hope and that 1% nobody can take it from you and that what the CAF want (i believe)

I took my CFAT and I didn’t pass because I didn’t study for the math part which is 60% of the questions. I did sign up for my re test next month so I’ll use this time to sharpen up

Don’t listen to anyone but yourself on this one they wont be doing the push ups you will. And if you don’t want to be in it forever you don’t have to just remember a lot of people get out after 3 to 5 years have fun and enjoy the processes. Im going in for infantry im 21 wish i got in sooner
