Civilisation by Kenneth Clark: Folio Society

Folio Society is a staple name of beautiful book lovers. And Civilisation by Kenneth Clark is one of their oversized richly illustrated books. With that being said, it was a no brainer that I would get a copy.
The book itself, while having little in the way of covering Asian or non European civilisations, does a really fantastic work with what it does cover. Buff of ancient history? Like nice books? Love great illustrations? If you fall into any of these categories (or all), this one is definitely a keeper.

Many thanks for posting this review. I was unsure whether to buy or not, but the Folio Society edition has many more colour illustrations than the old 1969 BBC TV series tie-in book, so this is a definite purchase for me.
