Hello I had the beatrix potter complete tales book edition when I was younger, one light and one a dark blue book. This is the only dark blue version I've seen, I think it might be slightly different to the one I'm looking for but where did you get this book from please?

Well, look at it as to when this released. Back then, Hitchhiker's attained (and still is) major geeky status. It's a history in its own way imho. Really cool stuff in my opinion. On a side note, there is a trading card set for Hitchhiker's, if you are interested in really cool artwork for the series

Hello there, I have a copy of the book and as you assumed, the first page is just blank. It arrived yesterday at my home and I'm enjoying it pretty much, I'm fascinated by the tales I didn't know and I've had a really good experience, overall, with the book.

Brothers Grimm is always a delight. I also got the Folio Society version of the book (with more stories). Try that if you want all of them. It is not possible to have expanded versions of all stories though, so this is the next best thing :)

I think Minalima is going ahead with the full run of the series in this format. Pretty sure 3-4 books are already out. Not cheap, but worth it....

The omnibus is for people who want to save on money (and space). This is more of the deluxe version of the same. I switched to omnis for quite a few that I am not a huge fan of either. If you are not a very big fan of Hellboy, skip this one and go for the omni instead...

@@trippybookster Yes I managed to get it. It's expensive these days, but it was sure worth it. Knickerbocker do an illustrated edition of Dantes Divine Comedy. It's become very rare and expensive, if you see it you should sure get a copy. Are you a fan of Barnes and Nobles Leatherbound classics?

@@DamienNeverwinter Definitely a fan. Folio society is also a good one, but the FS LE Divine Comedy is way beyond my budget (not to mention highly rare at this point)

@@trippybookster I looked up the Folio Society Divine Comedy -it's magnificent. It was £700 British. However, it is now so rare it can sell for far above that. Even if I was a millionare I don't think I could justify using £700 or more on a book in a world where people are hungry! £700 could also fill a bookshelf with other books

Does this version contains the map of Narnia? I remember seeing the illustrated map of Narnia in the 7 in 1 book in Crossword before Covid some 3 years ago when this book might have came out and I think this is that same book only but just want to confirm because that does it contain the map or not? I can't find it anymore in any Crossword. I remember it was a big Crossword branch and yet they had only one copy of it.

Many thanks for posting this review. I was unsure whether to buy or not, but the Folio Society edition has many more colour illustrations than the old 1969 BBC TV series tie-in book, so this is a definite purchase for me.

Well, the story is quite dated too. If you like coherent and well linked stories, I'd advise to give this a pass. It is like the old Superman comics where supes always came out on top. But, it is an interesting one.

It’s funny I got recommended this video, I actually just read the 4th World box set which I think has all the same stories just chunked into 4 paperbacks instead of a huge omnibus. I agree with you about not being a big fan of DC’s omnibus binding (I recently read Geoff Johns’ Teen Titans omnibus and the binding was so weak I was scared it was going to come apart, or my first omnibus of Johns’s Green Lantern actually did start to come apart) I also haven’t read many comics from much older than the 80s and this was my first big dive into the work of Jack Kirby. This whole 4th world was really ahead of its time, I also liked the dogs of war, I guess it was essentially Kirby’s ending of the 4th world like 10 years later when it ended prematurely. Wild times with DC and Jack

GL by Geoff Johns is my favorite superhero run. I am collecting the whole Geoff Johns run in tpbs and hardcovers one by one. It's a slow process, but highly rewarding. You can actually search up the Absolute Blackest Night which I have reviewed. One of my all time favorite books :)

I want Bulfinch's mythology but the fkn book sells for 130 euro or so where i live. I can they fkn dune folio edition for that. .all other BnN leatherbounds cost 25/30

It's most likely an old stock, so they are selling it for a premium. I'm pretty sure there are other Bulfinch's mythology books by other publishers as well. Maybe look into those? And do consider subscribing to the channel :)
