I don’t think it’s a common practice. I live by it. I am a huge supporter of small “trash” cities. Maximum game winning yields lowest amenity cost More population means higher amenity cost. Which means getting +20% in your main cities is harder with lower returns on game winning yields. High population only gives you more production. Once your core districts are finished what are you producing?

Are you not the guy that said district adjacency are not important? i think it was +2 now same as +5 later.

Correct. This is not the “got ya” moment you think it is. This increases the ability to get better adjacency sooner with cities. You want to aim for the highest adjacency the soonest. So if it’s 2 not vs 5 later go for 2. Although if you are settling closer together you will have higher adjacency quicker. My problem is people waiting 20+ turns for a pay off on adjacency not trying to maximize it.

@@sogergamingYeah I think you made it pretty clear. If you get a plus 5 for moving 1 extra tile sure, go for it. If you move 6 more for it probably just settle the +2 and put the +5 in another city.

Unnecessary to pick sides. If there was a misunderstand that’s cool. I will always defend or explain my point of view about civilization. I may sometimes miss an obvious joke or there may not be a joke. At the end it does not matter. My goal is always to provide what I believe to be helpful information.
