Thanks I'm a big ferrum forge fan. They are both great knives. I prefer the D 2.so I'm going to get the odium. 😁😁🐅

Another great video brother!! I always enjoy your content and have been a subscriber for a long time! I got that exact same knife a few days ago and I love it!! I ordered a jade scale version that should be here soon too because I loved my black one so much! Keep up the great work brother!! God bless!! 🙏🏻🔪😀👍🏽

I know that at least one knife site lists the Odium as inspired by the FF Archbishop, but I recall earlier talks of the Odium giving credit to the WE Malice as primary inspiration. The Odium scale cutaway near the blade hole is just like the one on the Malice. The butt end of the handle is also cut just like the Malice's. I have the Mini Archbishop and it's a nice knife, but tbh it's just a bit too small.

The Odium is $52.70 and the Ferrum Forge is normally $80, but I have seen those on sale for as low as $60

I understand the idea to buy FF over Civivi but since FF has their logo on both of them, you are supporting them either way. Thanks for comparing these. I have been waiting for this so I could decide which is right for me.

That's a sexy little jammy. Its almost Falcon-like. There should be a higher end version with a milled titanium handle like they offer on other of their higher end models.

Hopefully this one holds up better than the Mini Archbishop. I put that one into a piece of cardboard and the tip snapped off.

Great review! I like this one civivi always does such a nice job for the price. But I do agree I kinda wish they would have gone away from the archbishop design more make it something different

I've watched a bunch of your vids and am watching this today because I wanted a run down of the Odium- A coworker is using a garbage assisted knife a vendor sent along with an order (stainless steel of no credit, tip down carry, pre stripped screws...). Just a garbage piece but he loves the snappyness of the assist. He had a previous one, same circumstance, same quality, but with orange scales that someone lifted off his desk. He laments not having it occasionally. While perusing sites for my next purchase I don't need, i saw the Odium in orange, the brand and the price: yes I thought I had to get it for him, but wanted to make sure the deployment action was snappy. Several vids later and here I am. Ordered it and had the blade engraved with "[insert his name-'s] YFA" YFA - you f'n asshole[s] I'll be ordering a mini Archbishop for myself, probably, when the scales I want are back in stock.

Yeah they are definitely similar! The Mini Archbishop is obviously based on the Archbishop 2.0. And The Odium (meaning a unified and agreed upon hate toward an individual) is based on the WE Malice...which in turn is a knife based on the original Archbishop lol! It's just a branding thing to run a similar model under two different brands. You are basically looking at the Tahoe and the Yukon here...well these are tiny so maybe an Eagle Talon vs a Mitsubishi Eclipse. I think they should have called it the Civivi Spite. Rolls off the tongue!
@Stassa234 жыл бұрын
LavenderPants86 yeah that’s exactly what there doing because they make way more money when it’s a design collaboration since they assume any warranty issues unlike the FFKW branded knives, they just pay for the batch of knives at wholesale cost then mark them up however they choose to and they assume warranty issues. At least that’s how it was at Bestech when I did there warranty work. I really hope they don’t keep doing knives this similar because in my opinion it takes away from the original design 🤷🏻♂️

I completely agree with u they are way to similar! I’m really digging this tho bc I had the mini archbishop but I got rid of it bc of the access to the liner lock and the odium looks like it solved that issue. Awesome review as always brother!! 👌👊
@Tier1GearEDCReviews4 жыл бұрын
It seems like Civivi does that a lot. They'll make their own version of a popular WE knife and fix certain things on it that should have been done on the more expensive WE version. It's kinda backwards lol. But no complaints here tho. I love the budget stuff. Have a good one brother.🍻

Received mine a couple of days ago, and I like it a lot👍 The pocketclip however I do not like ... it doesn't look good, for me it creates a bit of a hotspot, and it's very tight. I wish they'd used the milled titanium clips that they had on earlier Civivi's ... it would also make this little knife look a lot classier😞 It would be awesome if Civivi could make a medium-sized Odium to fit right between this one and the WE Knife Malice🤗

Another great knife review as always. It helped me avoid the Odium ($50 generally) which today is offered at $29 by Atlantic Knife. A real bargain - but the Odium is just too damn small.

A good alternative with GREAT traction is the Honey Badger. I have a small version that keeps me (for now) from pulling the trigger on the Odium. Different blade steel: 8cr13mov and textured frn scales, but around $35.

Odium or Mini Archbishop?...mini Archbishop or Odium? I'm so confused!😱...Oh hell! Settled it by ordering a Stinger 😝

Stinger? By who? Civivi?
@williamlenderman3874 жыл бұрын
@@mickkeim4142 it's the new Ferrum Forge Stinger but it's made by Civivi. Stassa 23 reviewed it a few days ago and Slicey Dicey's review on it was last night. Others have reviewed it as well and by all accounts, it should be well worth having.

It's a real shame this knife design did not come in two sizes. I would have enjoyed the smaller and the medium. Perhaps in the future it will be considered. I showed this knife to someone who knows nothing about knives and he was impressed. My friend Steven handled the knife and said I need something like this. I can understand why? This Odium is very comfortable for medium sized hands. Yes the flipper could have been better. It does not always open with one flip. I can Spydy flick it though smoothly.
@jamesharris14933 жыл бұрын
I have not handled the Archbishop. I take your word for it when u say the Odium is just as good. The tie breaker would be a serrated model for me. I'm a serrated type of guy.

Is this a new knife by Civivi? Is there a difference between this and the Arch Bishop?
@Stahlwerk884 жыл бұрын
As far as I can tell the biggest difference is price... and the cheaper one is the better one. (Also I guess the mini-AB is technically stainless whereas D2 is not, if that’s worth another $25 spent.)
