Civrays InMoov - Extending the Torso

The Civrays InMoov gets a few inches taller as more parts are added to the bottom of the torso. We take a look at how some of parts are assembled together.

These vids will help ppl, I’m looking forward to the shoulders. It’s tempting to glue it all together, but you will have to separate the front and back sections a lot in future steps. It’s coming along! You can glue the front and back parts on each section together but that middle holder(the 6 pegs), need to stay free. I still have to run 4 threaded rods thru the sternum to hold the whole thing together which is something I keep putting off lol

Yeah I think I will refrain from glueing anything at the moment.

So disappointing the these parts just don't connect together as intended. It's not the property of the plastic or printer, the parts just aren't accurate. They don't join in the virtual world either. I tried before I started making mine and have spent the last three years remodeling them in Onshape. Problem now for me is how much do I allow myself to deviate from standard.

I have found changing from slic3r to cura made a big difference. Maybe the issue here was the earlier parts were made on a different printer.

@@SteveRaynerMakes If you have access to a prog. like Netfabb Studio that can assemble stl parts together, you'll find that the parts don't match at all well. That is a limitation that Blender (the program that the parts were designed in) as it is a graphics program not a CAD program. I use Cura and my parts push together with only a minimum clean up of the lower edges.
