CJ is the man. He stepped into a job that had hard shoes to fill and he totally nailed it. The dude brought the Ramones back to life. Stepping in for a beloved band member is difficult and CJ almost immediately won over the fans. I have a ton of respect for him. He is still waving the flag and playing the music for the next generation to fall in love with the Ramones like we did. Dude is a saint.

I met CJ in 1992 at a record store next to Bogarts in cincinatti(where they performed that nite) I told him I'd driven 400 miles to see the Ramones and he said "are you crazy?" Lol. Such a great guy. I met John and Marky that day also. Election day, 1992.

For a moment, I thought it was the Epic Beard Man on the thumbnail. CJ is always cool in interviews, he seems like a nice man. My favorite Ramones are Johnny, Dee Dee, CJ, and Richie. Thanks for the video.

Does your Dee Dee bass have an actual ramones logo on the neck plate like CJ's does? The Dee Dee models I've seen had a ramones-like fender logo.

Its a shame he is counted only as "half a Ramone"... If it wasnt for CJ, i think Ramones might have very well broken up in '90. He was partly the glue that holded the band together till '96 and it wasnt a break up but a retirement, with proper farewell gigs.
@digitaltourbus6 жыл бұрын
Regardless, Cj is a great guy.

I've always thought of cj as the 'little brother' of the Ramones, not so much half a Ramone. He was a good bassist.

I'd say he was a full Ramone cause he was a good bassist and he was with them for years, I also love his vocals on the crusher.

Juriah Talib The Ramones chose him to be in the band so he’s a real Ramone. He may not be an original Ramone, but he’s still part of their history so kindly fuck off =]

Monstrosity Marky Ramone said in an interview when asked if CJ was a Ramone... He said CJ wasn't a Ramone. He stepped in while Dee Dee went to pursue a solo career. However Marky isn't an original Ramone either. That said, CJ is keeping the sprit of The Ramones alive not by just playing the old stuff...which is great...but new material too.
@MonstrosityFFA5 жыл бұрын
swinglow33 i actually met CJ a few weeks ago & he was such a chill dude! Bought him a beer too! Lol if you have Instagram you can see the pic we took :) Anyways, yea all the originals are gone sadly but Marky I would count as an OG as well since he was there since pretty much the beginning as well.

It happens all the time. The guitar or bass gets handed off to a tech or packed away. All it takes is one ballsy asshole to grab a guitar case and run during the loading process. It's really not hard, most people are just respectful enough not to do it.
