I wish this is the type of stuff people were watching, there would probably be a lot less dumb arguments and way more meaningful dialogue. This is way more valuable than things like first take or whatever shows they got. Nice work

Really like your breakdowns of this young man and I can tell you are having fun because CJ Stroud has a lot to like and unpack about his game. His ability to read, trust and react to what's in front of him, matched with his ability to get the ball to anywhere on the field with plenty of juice is really impressive. I haven't seen him dinking and dunking at all. He is absolutely cutting it loose. He is doing this against very good defenses who have seen more than enough tape on him and he is still carving them up confidently. Next season once he improves on his accuracy a bit more it really won't matter how much tape teams have on him, they simply will not be able to stop him. They will be forced to pick their poison. As you revealed in the first play, his ability to read the blitz and quickly check down is already a problem. Don't blitz and he immediately finds the soft spot and there are several plays where he has 2/3 open receivers. Which is big up to OC Slowik and his play designs. I suspect what CJ Stroud and OC Slowik are doing is part of the reason the Panthers let Frank Reich go. Too early to knock Bryce Young but I suspect the owner didn't like his teams play designs. You look at the young QB's who are doing well and you see very crafty, slick play designs that force defenses to pick their poison. While also focusing on what the QB's do well. Again nice breakdowns.

The scramble miss to Metchie was a chemistry issue imo. He wanted Metchie to get vertical and Metchie ran across field and only adjusted after CJ launched.
@dezgarrett608211 ай бұрын
Once we cut cut robert woods that chemistry will develop more. P.S woods’ contributions to CJs development WILL NOT go unnoticed. Woods has been a very solid possession receiver for CJ. That being said, we gotta let the young bulls go crazy. I really wanna see hutch get more reps w the first team.
@mgrofabar11 ай бұрын
Correct. They were talking after the play and Metchie was agreeing
@DanielCruz-wt2rh11 ай бұрын
I thought so too. I feel like he doesn't get to utilize metchie often so I'm a scramble drill it's definitely a hit or miss. Chemistry will develop. Nico, Brown, Dell and Metchie is a great young receiving core.
@rickgrimes205611 ай бұрын
Yup, Metchie was replacing Tank and that chemistry isn’t there yet like it is with Tank. Give it one or two more games to get on the same page and they will be there

CJ is so much more advanced mentally than the entire draft class he's with. I am so impressed with hisfootwork, release time, and poise in the pocket. Everything looks so clean, the ball comes out with such zip - so fun to watch. As a panthers fan it is a weird feeling watching him

if they can clean up the little mistakes down the stretch, they could be SCARY to face in the playoffs.. they could easily be 10-2 right now if not for some bad ref calls and some mistakes. they've lost most of their games by 1 possession, the Falcons, Panthers, and Jags are the 3 that could easily have been Ws.. but shoulda, coulda, woulda, right... and I guess it's not like they've had the toughest schedule either.. I can't wait for next season when the schedule is a little tougher and CJ and the boys are a little better.. it's going to be even more exciting than the rest of this season. Stingley finally having a game GAME was great to see as well. hopefully they add another stud CB in the offseason. I'm happy they brough back King. I was confused when they let him go cuz he was definitely better than our #3/4 CBs, and it's not like Nelson is above average either so hopefully they figure that out next year by draft or trade/FA

47 turned the wrong way. If he would have turned the other way the ball would have dropped in front of him. Where he should catch in stride.
@bradleyhendricks860611 ай бұрын
I feel like Beck could have made a better catch with his right hand instead of trying to turn his body and make a ridiculous left handed grab back behind your head. Let that ball travel a little bit more to the right hand and I think it drops right in his hand... noted I don't know if Beck is a lefty or not, but it just seems like he made that way harder than it needed to be
@dezgarrett608211 ай бұрын
My same thoughts when I was watching the game. I almost got so hype tho. 😂 he almost made the catch HOP made against Pittsburgh in the end zone, but without a defender on him.

Surprised because from the broadcast view where you can't see the routes extremely well, I thought CJ was abnormal in how long he held the ball compared to normal. I was wondering if they were just blanketing our WRs or it was part of the game plan. Most likely I'm spoiled with his normal 1.6 second ttr.

Denver played pretty good coverage during the game and had an effective pass rush, that’s not a great combo for a QB

@stiggiestigwood331011 ай бұрын
He outplayed his counterpart, who’d been cooking pretty good and making lotsa consequential plays. Let’s be honest. Football games aren’t played in a vacuum for either team. The opposing squad has more than anything else to do with the outcome. These are two good teams, And Denver was one of the hottest teams in the NFL coming into this game.Agree this wasn’t peak Stroud but he wasn’t near 100% going in and he got hit a lot (sacked, I believe, five times)and pressured a lot by a quality D. Stroud still made a bunch of plays and great throws, Unfortunately for yer Broncs, Houston D was even better and it had many more big plays in big moments.
