A rookie came in playing like a veteran, if your really a football fan you know that he is great

I loved Desaun before things went south in Houston but Stroud's arm is just at another level. He can put the ball wherever he wants and however he needs based on the situation. I watch him and the team around him, Texans are winning a ring within the next three years. I've never had that level of confidence in the team in their whole existence.

Another enlightening breakdown of CJ Stroud. I agree with Chase's comment at 20:07, this kid truly looks like a generational talent, and he also has the numbers to back it up(only Montana in 1989m Brady in 2007, and Stroud in 2023 have led the league in passing yards per game, while also having the lowest interception percentage). As a Texans fan, it feels like I'm living in a dream. Everything is happening so fast. I've always dreamed of having a QB like CJ Stroud - a great person and a great player. Hot Take: Demeco Ryans and CJ Stroud have the potential to be a better version of Brady and Belichick
@ericparker1638 ай бұрын
The humble, loveable version of that dynasty. It's definitely possible as all the pieces are in place, including the guy that probably had a lot more to do with Patriot draft days in Nick Caserio than people realize. DeMeco early in the season said something to the effect of we have to get better and we don't have a lot of time to do it in. He really gave the impression that wasn't trying to give it a year before the Texans really started winning games. He's done an outstanding job with both players and staff. COTY in my opinion.

Fun fact: Those years you mentioned for Montana and Brady were both their first MVP years, but they were each already well established as _the_ top quarterbacks in the NFL. Stroud is still a rookie.

CJ's insight, knowledge and accuracy are phenomenal!
@Bnguyen2768 ай бұрын
That first video he tossed it from the 18 yard line of the Texans to the 22 yard line of the colts. That’s 65 yards in air he threw. That arm strength is amazing. That means he can toss it into the end zone from the Texans 35! Only qb that can do that is him and Josh Allen, but cj has more accuracy.

Imagine how good CJ could be if the o-line could protect and run block at an elite level.

When it looked like Stroud was just throwing away the ball, Nico Collins rushing across to catch it was Nico's stand out moment for sure. 💪

Both players working in tandem really. CJ put it up where it was either his guy or nobody and Nico came through in the clutch.

Carolina 😢 watching this happen. Like Houston doesn’t have any big name offensive players, CJ is so good in the pocket, Tank and Nico are looking like superstars. Also the Texans were missing 2 of there starting WRs.

Stroud rare missed on wide open TE 86, with the Browns you don't get that many opportunities so Stroud needed to hit those open receivers

Browns defense has given up almost 30 ppg on the road. I don't know why and I don't know how, but I do find it interesting.

He wont miss that twice believe me he learns fast. And the throw he did make 19 gotta catch that hit him right in the hands insane throw.
@quigonkenny8 ай бұрын
15:00 I remember this play during the game. Buck and Aikman are criticizing the throw because it was into triple coverage, and I was incredulous. Yeah, it was triple coverage, but it was exactly where only the receiver could catch it, off his back foot, falling back, with perfect touch, and it was dropped. If the receiver doesn't drop that ball, we're seeing this play again in 12 months on an ESPN yearly Top 10.

Cleveland fans are in a win win situation this weekend; even if the Browns lose to the Texans, they get to cheer on an ex-buckeye QB next week, provided they don't injure him this week.

Its funny cause I'll still see talking heads talk putting the "yeah but..." because he's a rookie the in the playoffs and I feel like the Texans could shock the world. Truth is the last two games have been playoff games. That last drive on the Colts he was 7/7 for 80 yards. CJ is money.

What if we trade our 1st round pick for Saqoun.(Motor & Saqoun would be insane) Let Schultz walk, move Beck to TE & Beef up the o-line through free agency.
@nathanholman14758 ай бұрын
Saquon is injury prone costs a ton and Schultz had been a big security for CJ. They can find a cheap rb that compliments motor and the system and spend that money where we really need it
@Texansfan598 ай бұрын
Nah saquon not it, he is only getting older gnna be another derick henry situation. Just draft a good rb best bet, And i wouldn't trade shultz he had a solid season and is building chemistry with cj. Having a fb and a te that can catch opens up allot.

The Colts dominated this game and deserved to win. Going into this game, Houston was 3rd-ranked rushing defense, allowing an average of only 88.5 ypg. Indy torched them for 227..JT accounting for 188. Texans offense managed just 60 yards rushing against a D that was among the worst against the run this year..but held Houston to half the average allowed all season. The 75 yd TD was a great play, but honestly, it’s like going for the win instead of a tie after a TD. Successful and you’re a genius..fail and fans calling for your job. Not much room between the catch made and the Indy defender making a play. Gonna take way more than 264 yds/2 TDs to make a playoff run. Not to mention the run D got embarrassed and exposed.
