it is very nice to see this done with the tools that most of us have available in our home garages/sheds/workshops....in the fall we are going to be doing a refresh on our F-head...there is no machine shop in our area so its going to be limited to what we can hone and polish.

Thanks! Yeah this was a machine shop free refresh. As you can see there is a ring ridge but you would be amazed at how well these old engines can run with minimal work. The bores were still round and within spec. It may get bored and decked eventually. simple engines require simple tools.
