You need to start using this method to cast on and off your stitches from your knitting projects!
It is so much faster, has neater edges, and oh, so satisfying!

Oh my goodness, thank you SO MUCH for uploading this!!! I actually stopped knitting many years ago because I was totally lost with how to cast on and off and what methods to use and when... and snobby local knitting groups would literally LAUGH at me. I also have that EXACT SAME YARN you used in this video, but ripped my project apart and wound the yarn back up into balls and put it away over ten years ago because I was just so fed up at that time... maybe I'll give knitting another try and look at some knitting related content on your channel, as well as your upcoming projects using this method! I have so many knitting patterns and books I bought, and so many projects I started but never finished... I can do anything knitted related except for starting or finishing a project because I literally have no one to help me without making me feel like an absolute idiot... so I just gave up and figured MAYBE in the future when the time was right and the support was available without judgment, I could try again... Can this method be used on ANY project, or are there certain instances where a specific cast on or bind off is necessary? I'm just so confused with the starts and finishes of knitting, I am so sorry... I'm starting to have some hope again at least! I've tried crochet when I got fed up with knitting, but it's so "backwards" from knitting and the whole tension thing isn't my thing yet... oh my goodness... maybe one day I'll figure out what to do with all my yarn and actually enjoy and feel comfortable doing it!!!

Hey! I'm so sorry people were making fun of you! Not okay at all. You can use this cast on and off method for ANY projects, unless a pattern calls for a different one. I'm so happy you want to give it a try again! It is such a beautiful craft and you can create so many beautiful things. Maybe one day you should give Crochet a try, it is so fun as well! Xo, Dani

@@CJDesignblog Thanks for the reply Dani! I find with the knitting patterns I've encountered, they don't outright tell you which cast on or bind off to use... if the pattern doesn't specify this, and if it's acceptable to use this one, I think I will give it a try for the next project I attempt to do! I did try crochet, but I haven't stuck with it entirely, as it "backwards" it feels compared to knitting, as well as the whole tension situation with crochet feeling very different... although I do like to crochet with fabric strips, I can do that at least for now lol I'm planning on trying again with actual yarn for both knit and crochet, and I will certainly check out your channel some more. Your instructions are easy to understand, and I like the supportive environment here! Thanks again! Fawn 😊
