So apparently in the novels it said that the only reason Vader lost star killer is because star killer had Force lighting, The novel even stated that Vader was taking the upper hand in terms of their light saber combat it’s just that star killer had the force lightning on his side not only that but you got remember that Vader is working with a 30 year old shoe that is outdated heavily and the only reason he chooses not to switch suits is for two reasons one being that he could die from being transferred into a suit and two the New shoot would make him as fast and even stronger than anaken but it would decrease his connection with the force

Vader is absurdly strong, but his suit nerfed him, also losing his limbs. Anakin is the highest recorded midichlorian count in history, which was twice Yoda’s, and makes him in terms of potential and connection to the force, the strongest ever. By the end of the clone wars, he was considered the most powerful Jedi.

For those who were saying that Vader was nerfed, he wasn't. It's just that Starkiller had way more advantages over him. For any of you that don't know, when anakin lost his legs, arms, and most of his skin, his mediclorians was also lost, meaning his connection to the force was weakened exponentially. It is also important to mention that the cybernetics that Vader had were of low quality and his suit was also very heavy especially on the shoulders, that's why he is always walking and we never see him do any type of acrobatics in his lightsaber skills like how he was while being a Jedi. Also to note that his suit is vulnerable to force lightning which can affect his breathing device and his cybernetics making them malfunctional. All of these things play a huge factor when it come to Star Wars battles. The only things he had over Starkiller was experience, his lightsaber type, and his darkseid affinity.

You should read the novel, the version of TFU that was pushed as the canon version of events before Disney bought Star Wars and turned it all into Legends. The events go down in a much more realistic way and more true to the universe compared to the power fantasy game, as Starkiller only got through Vader's defence after something blew up behind him which shocked both of them, and Galen had enough time to take advantage of that small window. He also doesn't fight Palpatine, because that's fucking insane and stupid outside of a fun video game. Then, in TFU2 novel, Starkiller says Vader moves as though he can see the future, with how he's unable to get through him and Vader continuing to block each and every attack with ease, and the natural lightning storm being the only thing that won him the fight.

Hasn't obi wan kenobi beaten vader twice now? Wouldn't that make obi wan severely stronger than most anyone else since he beat him as both his strongest, and then several years later with all his dark force mastery, and then basically lost on purpose to become a force ghost and both guide Luke and join his master? Obi-Wan has an advantage against Vader because...well it's Anakin being emotional in the fight. He slips up every time. And Obi-Wan is THE master of Form 2 meaning his defense cannot be broken. He's the perfect counter to Anakin's aggressive style. This doesn't make Obi-Wan stronger or more skilled than Anakin. He is just a master at using every weakness Anakin has against him. Anyone else, he'd have trouble.

The novelization flat out shows obiwan was BARELY holding on and the longer the duel went on the more anakin got stronger and was wearing down his defenses. Essentially anakins own arrogance is what allowed obiwan to win the mustafar duel. If anakin stayed more focused he eventually wouldave crashed through obi wan "unbreakable defence" Now Ep4 vader vs obi lets just remove the IRL limitations of the props being fragile which is why the duel was so damn stiff and just add the fan made remake duel film. Obi wan would have had no idea how to full deal with vaders style since vader used all 7 forms into his new saber form. Not only that vaders own suit also gave him extra strength which he canonically uses in his strikes to make more impact with his saber strikes and slams. Obi wan also is an old man at this point and no i dont by this disney nonsense that hes filled with massive guilt and PTSD about anakin or that he cut himself off from the force and an annoying child leia is why he reclaimed his power.

I really think that, thematically, this bad ending is the best for Starkiller. He is not like Darth Revan who was a full Dark Lord of the Sith with lots of experience in the military and politics. No, Starkiller is a living weapon trained to be a tool, just like Darth Vader is one to the Emperor. It’s fitting that Palpatine would treat him just like any of his other apprentices: an effective tool to be disposed of later.

@@galacticknight55544 That ending would have made way more sense... the Ultimate Sith Edition shows that Starkiller does obey the Emperor and hunts his enemies, but ends up turning Luke to the darkside. If Starkiller still had his same abilities after being reconstructed, I have a hard time believing he'd follow the Emperor's commands in the first place. He'd likely have just tried to kill Palps again and gone down fighting.

Recently played again and the first fight with Vader is relatively easy but once you try to go for him in the Dark side ending dude turns into a dark side fueled juggernaut, it took me several tries to figure him out. He's weak to force push spamming because everything else I used could not penetrate his defense.After i figured that out i dog walked him. (This was on Sith master difficulty btw)

I wish there was a true darkside ending to this game. This ending was more of a neutral ending than a dark side ending. You should have gotten the option for a true darkside ending by killing Kota and embracing the dark side as Palpatine's new apprentice.

Well technically Vader did lose alot of his potential after being burned on Mustafar. But I'll grant you Starkiller is powerful, Vader technically simply by being the chosen one is more powerful in terms of raw force abilities but there is the factor of Starkillers force lightning which Vader is almost defenseless against

I know I'm late, but anyways, you have to upgrade your force lightning in the select menu (the other button similar to/opposing the pause button) It should be under Force Upgrades and then Force Powers. If you upgrade your force lightning twice you can hold the triangle (Playstation) or Y (Xbox) button to fire force lightning until you run out of force meter.
