I was thinking about it and what stroke my mind was that he got the card out of the wallet at 5:14 while talking and holding it by his left hand. I mean the wallet has a hole or something. So he didn't put the card to the wallet but he put it right into his left hand. Then he secretly has read the text the lady wrote on the card.

why did she have to write down what the gift was, since she said it afterwards outloud, anyway? i think there was some scanner in the purse he put the card in, and the guy holding the board saw the answer, who appeared on the back of the board and whispered it to the "mentalist". and again, with the first girl - she could hear the answer in the earplugs, but very softly, so that she didn't even realize it wasn't her own thought. i could be that kind of mentalist, too... good looking lad, though.

haha. it is actually possible for some people to read minds. Not tricks here. She wrote it down so they could check after that she didn't change here mind, but it also helps him see and image in his head. He put the thought in the first girls head.

here's how i think she guessed the bus card. he suggested it by: 1. he's holding out his hand as if he is holding a card, 2. maybe the way he's touching her, his hands are shaped as if he's holding a card, 3. the way he was breathing, seemed like he was mimicking the sound a bus makes when it stops/starts. idk i don't ride the bus, but that's my theory. ...or maybe there was something he was wearing that subconsciously suggested a bus card.

the first trick was very simple. hidden inside his sleeve he used special headphones that are used f.e. for swimming. they work with vibrations through the skull. so he recorded the word 버스카드 or 교통카드 before and then he sensitivlely pressed the headphone against her head so she heard the sound of that word.

slight of hand...he swapped the card when she passed it to him and as he's placing the card in the the wallet you can see he's sliding the true card under his sleeve in his left hand that's holding the wallet. When he asked her to take a deep breath..his plams are facing himself, you see as he looks down to his left hand he's reading the true card that he swapped. At least that's how it looks to me.

1st trick: power of suggestion, using certain words and phrases can trigger the subconscious into thinking of a specific thing. 2nd trick: Judge was in on it? or perhaps it was a trick wallet, or he read her body language.

Actually, it's to keep people from changing their answers between writing it down and saying it. That way, if they glanced at the board and saw what he wrote then changed their answer, he could prove that he was actually correct and they were being a bad sport. That's why she can't look at the board before she says it too.
