Hi I'm a Aboriginal woman & my people are the Noongah people of the South West region of WA and my Country covers south of Geraldton to Perth all the way south as Albany including the coastlines.... there's a Sacred site down south that's proven that my people were here for more than 47000yrs.... @@cjexplores oohh mate...I have found some great KZbin videos that will ASTOUND U even more...I don't want to be negative about this but Australian people and more so our government will never recognise what Aboriginal people did by even surviving through the last Ice Age .. ♥️🖤💛 for u to be open-minded and ask a Aboriginal person about our culture is something that I respect you for and the stuff that u will discover in these videos which are documentaries are actually done by some white Australians but more importantly these videos are done by some western world scientists.. The book by Duanne Hammacher is called "The First Astronomers"... Duanne Hammacher is actually an astrophysicist from the USA who when he first came to Australia to study at the University of Sydney was astonished by the mentality of white Australians about Aboriginal people, this mentality actually astonished Duanne so he made it his mission to learn more about Aboriginal astronomy so therefore he went to the Central of Australia where the practice of my peoples culture is still very alive as due to colonization alot has been lost along with our languages... kzbin.infoZCW4OiyIrHE?si=CoumSA4Z9VWBlnkv when Australia was first settled in 1788 there obviously was alot of mistreatment and not 2 mention genocide... but I don't wanna go on about the mentality of many white Australians I just would love for you to see the culture and how old it it is and there's always scientists finding new sites that have proven that we have been here for a long time the last dated evidence proves that we've been ere for possibly over 80000yrs ♥️🖤💛... these dates are constantly changing with further archaeological evidence all across Australia... but as a Aboriginal woman I know my people have been here for a very long time.. please if you have a little spare time watch these video his first video is called "A Hidden History of Australia" kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3iXlImKbsmjoLMsi=sFBR_wxLI_9p7RDI which I'm sure will ASTOUND U even more... anutha great video on KZbin is kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJbWhaGff9xmfMUsi=FZOmmpfIIqtpZhNC which is about a very sacred site in NSW about the formation of what is now called Australia's "Stone Henge... These are only a few documentary videos on KZbin that will ASTOUND u.. thank you for showing interest and respect for my people ♥️🖤💛... can you please let me know if or when u watch these videos how u feel about Aboriginal culture ♥️🖤💛 bcoz these videos will change any stereotype of my people ♥️🖤💛🦘🦘... kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5K5dmVrl9Cemsksi=s6Rg7dOhvOBwlViE I promise u this will be the last video for u to watch about is a Sacred Site in Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory.... ♥️🖤💛.. much love from Perth Western Australia ♥️🖤💛🌎

@@rosiekickett2617 wow! Thank you for that huge reply, I’ll take a look at those links. So interesting about that American astrophysicist… I had similar feelings when we went to certain parts of Australia. How aboriginal people seem to be more “managed” by the government rather than respected and revered. I believe there is so much knowledge to be attained. Kings Park is the worlds largest city Park and originally named Perth Park. The majority of the park is retained as natural bushland and was set aside that future generations of Perth ( as in now and the future) could appreciate the original landscape of Perth from the early years of settlement. Kings Park and its sister park Bold Park are under the jurisdiction of the state government.

Little bit more on the history of the Bell tower. The then State conservative Premier Richard Court paid for it by ripping the guts out of the industrial awards of Department of Justice officers to the tune of 35 million. To those locals the locks represent the thousands of unpaid 12 hour shifts staff worked in exchange for keeping their paid public holidays.

Perth has to have some of the most beautiful city beaches in the world. The sand is so sugar white and the turquoise waters are like your in the tropics without the coconut palms.. People who visit think its quiet but its decentralised. The nightlife area Northbrisge is just behind the city, a bit like Fortitude Valley in Brisbane. You have Hillarys boat harbour, the Swan valley, Scarborough and the jewel of Perth, Fremantle. Places like Adelaide have half the population seem much more vibrant but dont have much outside the centre.

That's crazy to have the worry of car hire and parking when staying near the CBD. There is a brilliant shuttle bus service that covers five or so routes and all of the city. I have lived in Perth for 28 years and if you are planning on visiting I would not take Frank’s advice. Hiring a car is absolutely the way to go even if you are staying in the CBD. Perth is a geographically sprawling city with places worth visiting in every corner. Whilst the public transport isn’t bad it is just so easy to get around with a car. The traffic is light outside of morning and afternoon peak hour and most places have free or cheap parking. There’s no real way to tour Perth’s many beaches with any efficiency other than with a car and if you want to go to the Swan Valley or pretty much anywhere besides the city centre and Fremantle having a car is the best way to go.
@betula21372 жыл бұрын
@@MegaLiterally But it's still great to take every opportunity to not use a car. If you have to, of course, but it is better for your own experience, and locally to use alternatives whenever you can. I think Perth offers better services than many other Australian cities, which allows car volumes to remain thankfully low -- compared to a city like Hobart which provides no alternatives and thus has worse traffic

Sorry to sound negative…but if you are going to do travelogs it probably a good idea to do a reasonable amount of research prior to going to a place so that you can be more specific about what is available (e.g. names of buildings etc). It may also assist viewers if you show a map of the area you are visiting so we can get some idea of where a place is in relation to other places. I live in Perth and have done so for forty years but some of your descriptions left me scratching my head. Do not let my criticisms in any way give you the impression that you are not doing a good job (quite the opposite) but adding some more detail may assist the viewer.

Hi Neil! We are currently in the UK actually 😁 hope you had a lovely Christmas. Perth is a wonderful place to live. We actually stayed there for 3 months during our Big Lap of Australia. And some friends who did the lap with us, they relocated from Brisbane to Perth after they completed their Big Lap. So that says a lot about it really. As a base to explore australia, it is both super remote and the closest you will get to some of the most beautiful locations in the country. We absolutely fell in love with Western Australia, the entire coastline is so diverse and so unique and Perth sits pretty right in the middle of it all. In terms of business opportunities, Western Australia, I believe, is the wealthiest state in the country. So whatever you do I’m sure you will manage to find your niche there or you will be able to work remotely. The cafe culture is solid and so is the remote working community with many hubs located all over the city. Really hope this helps and wishing you all the best on your big life change ❤️

Don't miss the the Wined Bar (National wine centre of Australia) close to Botanical Garden🍷🍾, enjoying nice wine and a cheese platter after long walks.
