That is so wonderful! I love hearing stories about other homeschooling families. I will definitely keep sharing, are there any topics in particular that you think would be helpful?

HSLDA is a excellent resource, especially for state by state guidelines about homeschooling.

Love this video 💖 So positive to see someone whose been the student through a homeschooling journey and advocating for others to homeschool. This very encouraging to me as a mother homeschooling my two children to see the end fruits of homeschool labours. Like you, my 9 year old has never been to school and will finish up 3rd grade this year (or Year 4 as we call it here in the UK) 🇬🇧 and I have a pre-schooler aswell. Your Mum is my hero as I'm planning to return to work, and remotely whilst continuing to homeschool and it's been making feel super anxious but knowing another sister has done it, warms my heart and let's me know not only is it possible but my child will be okay too! Thanks so much for sharing your story. Blessings and love to you 💝

Thank you for your perspective. Ive decided to homeschool my 3yr old the moment I gave birth. She loves to learn and like yourself an only child. Im a freelance graphic designer and We work around her energy at this time but we follow the busytoddler lesson plans in our class area. Thank you again for your motivation to keep going.

This was super informative and helpful. Even after being your friend for almost 10 years I learned so much more about you. Thanks for sharing your story ❤️ (PS you got to ride the bus and P2P in college. I say that’s a win over your regular bus rides lol)

Considering homeschooling for my 7 year old(boy) . . .my concern is social interaction with other kids/friends. No problem in teaching him . . .any suggestions??
@aceisjoy
@aceisjoy 4 жыл бұрын
Really great point, I'm actually editing another video where I talk about the socialization side of things. Biggest suggestions off the cuff is to make sure he has lots of activities (of his choosing) to engage in. This might be a little difficult during the pandemic but in general sports, day camps and other orgs really helped me make friends and practice socializing since there weren't a ton of kids in our neighborhood. It will be tough but that's the single biggest thing you can do. I doesn't have to be every single day but that variety with different environments is so helpful
